No. The genocide run may be the source of the all the edgelords coming out of the woodwork, but it in itself is more a deconstruction of traditional RPG mechanics of killing all the enemies in your path and grinding. Everyone is terrified of you and fleeing or trying to stop you, because you won't stop killing random people, including their friends and neighbors.
