David's slightly more of a meme than Kojima which is probably why they didn't go so hard on Detroit since everyone knows what a David Cage game looks and plays like by now. Also the sections with Connor and Hank were legitimately good because their actors knocked it out of the park which is probably why people went a little easier on the game; not very often you can play a Cage game and unironically say "hey that was good."

I'm bored at work so after about 6 hours of Upper Echelon's stream I can say it's not for me. If it was even 50/50 package autism and then combat/exploration I'd probably buy it but it's 99% walking through empty npc less, enemy less landscapes.

The fun to boring nonsense ratio is way too high

I got about 3 hours in, but got annoyed because my inner autist keeps trying to pick up every piece of lost cargo and take it back to the first city. I’ll try again tomorrow when I don’t have a headache. I’m one of those weirdos that liked MGS4 warts and all, so I’m thinking I’ll be ok on this one.

I liked MGS4 and I doubt I'd like this. MGS4's terribly paced gameplay sections were at least really fun (outside of tons of Act 3), it perfected the pre-V gameplay style.
 
Im about 10 hours in, game is actually pretty good. My server has been going ham on building shit, we almost have the highway completely done in the second area

Fuck the MULES are enraging though.

I think that the Death Stranding event is a metaphor for how disconnected people have become in the modern world. "Alternative" sexualities are a big part of that. People have willingly atomised themselves via niche cultures and self-identifications.

Since this entire game is about Bridges and building them, reconnecting people via the inescapable reality of the real world....

It fits.

The tards my world got matched with are fucking sandbaggers, I did 100% of two road sections and actually finished about 5 or so more sections.

Also enraging in what way? The melee ones are incredibly easy to slap to death and and the ranged ones are actually dangerous but not terribly hard to slap to death either if you can watch for projectiles and use cover, most of the materials I made those roads with I stole from the Mules after I 1v8'd them to death and drove their trucks around.
