Because Konami owns the rights to metal gear.I just want a remake of Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, but in Fox Engine. Why is that such a big ask?
Because Konami owns the rights to metal gear.
I guess you didn't hear, Konami can't even make proper pachinko machines now, their digital machines are prone to crashing because they cut so many corners. Some of the internal bits and mechanisms were not made of metal but heavy duty cardboard, that's how cheap we're talking. That's exactly what I'm saying. If Konami can shit out Metal Gear Survive after like 4 months of devtime, by assetflipping what they had in V, then I'm reasonably certain you can remake the MSX Metal Gear games, without Kojimble, with a budget of like $2-5m, and it would still likely be a good game. Script's already written, gameplay template is already there, the engine is already there, the assets are already there, the music is already there. Hire David Hayter and Paul Eiding for mocap, get a couple of composers to remix the tracks, hire a few level designers, and then model the elements of Outer Heaven that don't already exist. BAM. Done.
Just give it the Shenmue I+II treatment. It doesn't need the same scope as The Phantom Pain. Something more along the lines of MGS 2 and 3 inside a landmass roughly the size of the Angola-Zaire Border region is just fine. Hand out DLC maps later, I don't give a shit. There are enough assets available on the MGSV Nexusmods page to be able to do this already, purely unofficially.
yikes, is it that bad? you got a source of that information, would like it hear it.I guess you didn't hear, Konami can't even make proper pachinko machines now, their digital machines are prone to crashing because they cut so many corners. I think there’s a lot of people who feel the same, so no worries there. Though I do hope it still sells well.I don't know, this seems more like a philosophy kind game, that seems more fun to watch than play.
But from what I can tell, it's something like the protagonist is data that travels and delivers stuff from place to place on the web and the enemy is different kind of virus bugs e.g, since Kojima likes to do stuff about AI and the like it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Can be wrong but that's the feeling from interviews and the demo the showed.
I am not that interested in playing it, more interested in the philosophy around it
And the peeing system just looks tedious tbh.
Here's the problem; Campbell's Japanese voice actor died shortly after MGS4 and they retired the character out of respect. The Japanese typically don't like recasting actors after one dies.Hire David Hayter and Paul Eiding for mocap,
Kojima wrote death stranding from all those leaked halflife 3 scripts and shit that never got off the ground.
Timmy. 505 games is I think 3/4 on these at this point.Funny you say that because he was last year in Valve HQ
That also explain that our benevolent god Kojumbo is going to release Death Stranding for PC next year, thing that has some people very very VERY assblasted

First of all, Kojima said that the PS4 game was going to be a limited exclusive and that it was going to come to PC, Sony agreed because they saw the sales of MGS V, now the question is, is going to end on steam? or timmy boy is going to hawk the exclusivity like the fucking parasite he is
