I’m sure Goku vs Saitama may have been an interesting fight once upon a time, but now I can only assume the Death Battle crew really just wants to do a Goku episode where he fights somebody not named Superman.

Well, most are upset about the matchup being lame, but the bigger thing is that they’re upset it’s happening in October, and we’re getting Goku vs Saitama instead of something “more fitting” such as Mysterio vs Scarecrow or Freddy Krueger vs Pennywise or any kind of horror or horror adjacent matchup.

Some on Reddit were even trying to say that the next time announcement was an illusion that Mysterio or Scarecrow were doing, or something that Freddy Krueger does to fuck with people in his dream world (or whatever Freddy can do to mess with people).

I highly doubt that'll be what happens, but if it does, it'd be really hilarious.
 
Death battle is literally more than 10 years late for Goku vs Saitama (multiple channels already did it) but i'm glad that Goku escaped the superman jail, meaning supes also scaped the goku jail.

I hope goku loses solely because the salt would be legendary but this does feel like a pity win for goku after losing 3 times to the same guy.

Yeah, it's always going to be the Sonic character the win even if it's not Archie, but to be fair Shadow is pretty damn busted. Honestly they made Mewtwo even stronger just to have a cool fight unless I'm retarded. That being said, probably the best DB I've seen in a while animation wise. Souljin absolutely nails it and I thought it had a nice ending.

I'm honestly surprised they're even doing Goku again, guess they got the Dragon Balls 2 years later to revive him.

I've seen some people say Saitama won't get his growth since it was triggered via emotions. Like if they wouldn't even give him that, it'd make the fight twice as worthless because Goku could just beat him in his base form via wank.
 
Fandoms always turn out a mess because theirs a very thin line between the creator getting lazy/ decline of quality/ect and fans getting way too entitled/autistic/ect and sometimes its mix of both at the same time.

And that’s not even getting into when something goes mainstream.
 
I hate to come across as a butthurt fanboy, but man this stinks. One-Punch Man has been through the wringer in recent years. Season 3 of the anime took fucking forever to come out, and when it did it was one of the biggest bombs in recent anime history. The manga retconned like, two years worth of chapters and is moving at a snail's pace, and no one even talks about it anymore. Now Saitama is basically just getting fed to Goku in a pretty blatant pity win scenario. One-Punch Man fans can't fucking have anything, man.
