I'm wondering what they'll even say for Goku's analysis. Aside from Daima, he hasn't gotten much of note since last time he fought. It'd be kinda weird for them to composite Goku when Saitama basically only has the manga in terms of anything that actually matters.

They did reze vs bakugo out of "pure love for the game". That episode has significantly less views than Lego vs Bionicle.

If death battle was smart, they would have done Leon Kennedy vs Jason Voorhees. It would have made infinitely more sense. Namely, for three reasons.

1. We just had a resident evil movie release that did well at the box office and with normies.
2. Leon is always popular and his fans have been begging for a rerun, especially against something like Jason that has already been tested successfully with a death battle cast.
3. It's way more closer than Goku vs saitama which is just gonna be one of them stomping each other at the end of the animation. Even normies know this too. It's not the salt generator it once was back in 2016. If Goku loses, nobody will care beyond some powerscalers doing a shitty debunk on their channel for views.

Leave it up to death battle for striking when the iron is cold. I wouldn't be surprised if the episode caps out at 2 million views.

I saw some people say Goku will copy Saitama's Serious Punch...and they clearly have no idea what they're talking about. The Serious Punch is just Saitama putting effort into a punch. The only thing Saitama has that Goku doesn't is that time travel shit which he quite literally forgot all about and couldn't possibly factor in the fight. Just makes me wonder what Death Battle is going for.

Best I can think of is that doing all the things they wanted to do in a Goku episode, but couldn’t because they had to lock in on a serious debate between Goku and Superman.

As for Saitama, I’ve heard that they already did everything possible with Saitama against Popeye where Saitama gets the serious fight he always wanted. At most, I think it’s just Goku and Saitama playing off each other because they’re more alike instead of having opponents that are so different.

That's what they did, yeah. It'll probably just be Goku-focused rather than them rehashing the same plot beat with Saitama finally getting his great fight before being snuffed out right after.
