Wheres the base update, where's Venator Quinn, where's lumberjack werewolf woman, where is it Yoshi?

Why do they keep buffing Bebop and his sticky bomb? Yoshi is a psycho who pushes OP buffs multiple times during the holidays because he is lonely and decided to take it out on us.

I think a patch got pushed out only a few hours before the New Years countdown in Valve's timezone.
It is really his only thing. Hook kind of sucks. The move speed nerfs hit beebop really hard. All he can do is get a lucky ult or do massive damage with his bomb. If you are against him you should be buying debuff remover anyway to make him seethe. I play a lot of supportcuck so I also have divine barrier ready as well.

His hook is great for team fights. If Bebop can pull just one person from the enemy team into his own team's then that fight is probably a win for Bebop's team.

For a team game that's pretty good. Even more so since it's not an ult so recharges fast.

I main Bebop and play hook/laser/support builds and have no idea; I know he had a 44% winrate before but bombs were fine, what he needed was +10m to hook T0 or something else to give him a little bit more early kill potential and a way to punish early guardian pushes before the full combo is online.

Been playing mostly Grey Talon recently though after discovering the powershot arrows are extremely close to hook in regards to travel time. Good shit, only sniper character I've ever actually liked in a shooter. Landing 4 in a row for a kill from full gets you screamed at and makes my heart grow three sizes and it's extremely fun to be able to rat 4.5K spirit damage in 5 seconds onto a walker. Thanks holiday challenge.

Deadlock is the first MOBA I’ve played that I’ve become addicted to spamming games and consuming YT content (I.e streamers, podcasts, etc.) I’ve tried LOL, Smite, and Dota 2 and uninstalled all of them within a handful of games. I’ll admit when it was still four lanes I had an interest, but it quickly faded away (also I had other games at the time my friends and I had an interest in.) Then around the time Valve dropped the big update with The Hideout, the three lane map rework and Mina and co. I tried playing it again and it’s easily my favorite game right now. Also YOSHI PLEASE DROP THE UPDATE I NEED TO PLAY QUINN AND CURB STOMP THAT LITTLE SHIT EATING OWL.

So is this game actually ever going to be finished or is it going to be in invite hell for a couple more years and quietly cancelled?
It'll come out, MOBA devs seem to be the most dedicated developers out there, especially IceFrog. He's been finely turning Dota for close to a quarter century, he started working on the original Dota in like 2003 I think. Yoshi seems to be the lead dev and is probably IceFrog.

They're planning to add another few hereos (six?) and are reimplementing major portions of the game in an update they're planning to release by the end of January. The game's survived the Neon Prime to Deadlock transistion and has only gotten stronger. I think we're good. We're getting, what would be called major updates in other games, every few months. That's pretty healthy imo.

Guinsoo was the original creator for the wc3 custom game. Icefrog worked with him and eventually assumed control of it down the road. Technically Guinsoo didnt even come up with the idea for mobas since Aeon of Strife is often credited as the first. I dont know if the creator of that ever went on to anything.

Yeah it's certainly been taking awhile. I assume to get the base update presentable and mirror the size of the last hero update. Launching it with more coomer girls guarantees media attention and new players.

Technically Eul is the original creator of DotA.

They just updated the game with a couple semi-important balance changes, but they also added some teasers to the hideout of the new heroes' weapons strewn about as props.

Yoshi: "The update is looking like its a few days or so away atm"

Kind of baffling they'd add in-game teasers and make a small number of changes when there's a huge update coming in a "few days", why bother?

I believe he also said the heroes will be added in voting order like last time. But instead of one being released day 1 like Mina was before, this time there will be no new hero day 1. It looks like its going to be another six heroes added again. Looking forward to it. VOTE REM.

Weird update. Like the art, really don't like the pre/postmatch changes, especially how you can't chat/build edit during load-in anymore and how the info during results is split over multiple screens. Extremely odd choice of musical cues too.

Also the patron pit redesign makes bebop (and probably seven) a massive threat. MASSIVE sightlines from the rafters by the t3s and beam reaches far enough that you can hit pretty much anywhere in the pit with less than a second of adjustment.

New Big Patch with lots of stuff
>Casual mode

Shoot, now I might actually have a reason to play. Kinda sad to see the sphere face patrons get retired, maybe if they expand the list of possible patrons we'll see them again someday. Honestly it's sad to see a lot of the early era stuff get phased out. I'm not ready for Yamato's big purple forehead to get "improved"

On another note, Valve being back to making dedicated pages for their updates brings a tear to my eye, kinda feels like the old days of the TF2 pages. if nothing else I think it speaks to DL not being in any danger of being forgotten or shelved any time soon.

I was hoping the pizza stores in Bellevue getting a spike in business meant something else being announced at Valve, but I digress.

Actually insane update. Valve is saving multiplayer games.
The casual mode might be what keeps me fully engaged to the game for good now, if it ends up being good.
