The thing that bothers me the most with rem is that every match I've queued into has one on my team who clearly isn't a support player and hasn't figured out how good the heal is or how obscenely abusable helpers are for sinners farming. Anyone seen any fun lifestealer infest-style interactions with his nap? I assume it's a way for Ivy to bomb two people at the very least.

Also, found a fun bug. Be Mirage. Ult somewhere far away from your current location. Have Ivy grab you with her ult during the warmup. Watch the physics break entirely as the game tries to rubber band mirage to Ivy from his teleport destination and pulls him inside world geometry.

dont think ive had a worse first impression playing against a character in this or any game, i wasnt bothered by his voice just listening to it but under the circumstances i was in i wanted to bite a chunk out of my desk any time that fucker opened his mouth, gud character yoshi, i hope they add a means to actually break shields soon cuz this plus gun meta is cancer

Yoshi is Icefrog / Abdul Ismail, who is the former lead developer behind Dota, and the current lead developer behind Deadlock. Dota is very successful and made Valve a lot of money.
He has a lot of power within Valve too, few people have had the privilege of starting and then leading a project of this scale at the company.

How long will it take for these TF2 and Overwatch migrant troons to realise that the game's playerbase is at least 75% Dota players?

The Deadlock Reddit will be a goldmine for these people crying about a Russian calling them a faggot or referring to Pocket as a man.

Part of what makes Dota and Deadlock fun is the fact that several of the characters are unapologetically either evil or assholes, and the good guys are either just okay people keeping their head low or will fucking smite your ass for being a bad guy (or part of some evil race) instead of being a sad Steven Universe baby about it.

Mina already uses "ixian" in a derogatory way when fighting Abrams, at least that's how I've always heard it

I hear nigger quite a bit and just today some dude called me a Jew for stealing the souls from a crate he broke. Like usual its a case of the Reddit/Der 'cord/Xitter sneeding that their heccin wholesome Valve game couldn't ever have chuds playing it but the actual playerbase is filled with your average shooter/MOBA player who will happily call someone a faggot. Also I've literally never heard anyone refer to Pocket as anything but a man, I wonder if that pisses off whatever Sweet Baby Inc tranny "consulted" on him

It's safe to say that for every troon coping about it there's at least 50 random vidya gamers spouting off a bunch of slurs because they got killed
 
I love that the voice chat encapsulates the early 2000-era of comms. I had a game where my team shit talked our ally pocket because they all knew he was a faggot. Best part is that we curb stomped the enemy despite being down a player. Based Seven ends the game by saying "AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON NIGGERS" as the match ends.

You don't get this kind of entertainment anymore. Valve really has something good going for them, I really hope they don't fuck it up.

Why do they project their weird sick fetishes to everything? Where is there room to head-cannon that?

This game has so much more writing than what's needed, go to any hero's wiki page and you'll find a web of interactions to close to a dozen other heroes, all from seconds long barks. There is nothing in any of Pocket's interactions that shows this. TTD forever I hate them.

What the fuck is it with Deadlock rp accounts? Its fucking weird, this is like one of the first games where I've really started to interact with the community and everybody in it just sucks man.

On a unrelated note, I'm becoming increasingly disappointed with the new character designs in the game. Most of the new ones are genuinely BAD. Graves is such a boring character to look at it, she's just a basic emo girl designed by some Tumblr artist. Celeste looks horrible and doesn't fit into the game at all, too colorful and she straight up looks like a K-pop demon hunters character. Silver looked great at first until I saw that it was just furry bait for transbian weirdos who probably have diaper fetishes. Venator looks fine, but he just looks like The Punisher, kinda uninspired. Apollo is overly twinkish, I also hate his royalty aesthetic but he somewhat fits in compared to the others.

I thought the last patch's character designs were bad but this? Its straight up terrible and feels like its trying to appeal to a chinese market.

What happened to the game I love?

It's pretty clear that from Pocket's backstory that the "they/them"pronoun thing isn't so much out of sexual identity but because he's trying to avoid being assassinated by hitmen, and anything that could remotely help him be incognito is welcome.

The six-heroes update with Billy, Victor, etc were pretty good designs. Except maybe Doorman, kind of whatever.

Pocket is the dude, the suitcase, and the frog thing. This is what 'they' refers to in his bio and fags and trannies saw that and ignored everything else
 
last hour before the next hero, my hope is venerator but unfortunately im expecting silver, if its neither ill be surprised
 
Full agreement on the voicechat. It reminds of Dota in a good way when people just get super heated but not mad at eachother and start cussing out the other team, especially if the heated guy is a mo+krill who sounds exactly like cornholio.

I think Rem + Victor is the single biggest pain combo I've seen in ages. Just had a match where the other four people were just an afterthought because victor just would NOT die and bought refresher because of course he did. Decay spam and heal reduction did very little.

Spammed votes on Graves just because she's supposedly Undying (one of my perennial Dota favorites) and I want to see the absolute hell that is a Graves/McGinnis lane if that's true. Venator's my vote for good design though, hoping the rumor/leak/whatever about him having a rocketlauncher as his primary is true.

E: Holy hell that 1 is bullshit. I really wish they'd gone with an old-lady witch though instead of this anime bullshit, could've been incredible.
