Stipo might have become an influencer at some point. He took a "break" from creating content not too long ago, but now he's back and really simping for the game already. Time will tell if he's the Dead Rising equivalent of Sphere Troon now

Now, let's check in with probably the most influential Dead Rising fan in the world for a moment:
I was wrong about him becoming an influencer, but I was right on him trying to worm his way in as one. He's been trying to brown nose Capcom for a free copy, then throws a temper tantrum when he gets denied. Absolutely pathetic, but what else do you expect from a discord subhuman who spends all his time around discord retards that scream "TRANS RIGHTS!" to the faces of the games' voice actors?
I was actually thinking about archiving all of his stuff, to avoid another Schizo Elijah situation, but I bet that he would at least want to keep his old content around to breathe second wind into his channel, after Dead Rising starts trending with normalcattle. I guess I was wrong, he took a much more stupid route and killed his entire channel off for good. I guess that proves that after a certain point, this stopped being about preservation and more to build up his clout/image as an e-celeb.
Good riddance to utter garbage. It's just a shame he's sitting on top of all that valuable info, or that these videos are likely lost to time.
Thankfully, most of the important beta information can be found here. It would be good to archive it now, just in case:

From what I remember, most of his videos were him showing off the content he was describing on that page, high quality rips of various hard to find beta content and him fucking around with his hoarded beta builds, such as showing off undocumented cut items or content or playing around with physics of the engine. It's the last part that's largely undocumented that might be lost to time.

Anyways, we have more info on the various downgrades, aka reason why you're an idiot if you're still excited about this demake. Let's just go over them, one by one, and remember that just a few weeks ago, Stipo was super duper excited to get back to playing his favorite game of all time, nothing could stop him from turning a new chapter on his channel's history and his whole life!

*UI is absolute and utter garbage now, they ruined the simplistic but intuitive one from the original into the one for the "Modern Audience" so that any last bit of character the game might have had would be gone by now

BTW, the convicts now take damage when crashing into trees, for whatever reason, so they might possibly kill themselves in the background if they drive as badly as they did in the original game.
Speaking of which, the yellow tape fairy is back and it has covered all of Willamette so it could be idiot proofed. More of the awful UI in screenshots below

BTW, in case you're curious, the low killcount is there because the game is overall more easy now: Less zombies, more PP and more damage done by Frank towards both zombies and Psychopaths. Thankfully, at least the latter still hit just as hard. Still, it's very clear that this is a game for morons, and I don't think anyone else will really enjoy it all that much when the original is available for cheaper. I mean, even Dead Rising 4 didn't treat the player like this much of a fucking idiot, and oh boy did Dead Rising 4 think you're stupid.

Thing is that Stipo was invaluable to the preservation community...until he stopped working on actual preservation and documentation, hoarded what he had and then took his toys and went home crying after Capcom refused to give him a game code. His entire career and online reputation is now ruined because he couldn't wait a month like the rest of us, apparently he thought he was some big shit because his cadre of discord cocksuckers told him so(btw he would shill that discord to high heaven in his more recent videos, I could see the way the wind was blowing)
Hopefully he troons out and kills himself so that a good samaritan can potentially dump his collection on the web after his death.

At this point I am under the impression that if nobody else was archiving his content, then it isn't worth being preserved. Most of his research autism has already been backed up on places like TCRF, Dead Rising Wiki or Dead Rising Forums I linked(lol at the massive "JOIN OUR DISCORD!" advertisement on the top of the page. Yeah, how did that work out for you, Stipo?).
His stuff is interesting alright, but does anyone really give a shit about all the various unused zombie textures of TGS 2005 build that didn't make it to the final one?
If anyone can grab a list of videos he made, I might write a short summary of each one. I did watch them recently so my memory is fresh, for whatever that is worth. Without hard archives of his videos, that knowledge is lost regardless.
Let that be a lesson: Backup everything, make sure your info is stored in more than one website. Don't depend on one unstable retard to carry your entire community or niche for you.

on an unrelated note so I don't have to make a second post, I am somewhat disappointed, since I did think it looked rather good from the dev videos, but seeing all this new information, as I said earlier, this is clearly a weaker product. i will probably still play it, but I'll be watching for a price cut and the modding scene. if this game gets no mods at all, then I don't see myself ever playing it. if it gets some banger mods like DMC5 did, then we'll see what happens.

I haven't played the remake but if it's anything like the original try givingthe shotgun to survivors, it's one of the few weapons they're effective with and it hugely improves their survivability.

The survivors ARE retarded, there is absolutely nothing you can do. The game has the most accurate portrayal of Americans in all of gaming, ie having them be dysfunctional morons who will slow you down at every opportunity and quite literally go out of their way to get killed for no reason. The only reason why you would bother saving them is because they're walking PP farms, however they're not worth risking your entire run when you're on the clock and risk running the timer for the main mission out. Giving them a gun helps(they never run out of ammo), but be aware that some survivors are just straight up useless(like Aaron) no matter what, and if there is too many zombies around survivors might blow their brains out if you give them a firearm. It might be better to give them a melee weapon or no weapon at all, depending on the circumstances.

As for other starting hints, yeah there is a few:

*Pick up books. There is a few that are really useful, find one of your choosing to make up for being weaker at the start of the game. You can have as many books as you want, but each one takes up a single inventory slot.
*Watch out for PP stickers, which you can see at the bottom of the camera HUD if you're pointing in the right direction. Each one is worth up to 1000 free PP. First one you can get is by taking a photo of the map in the security room(save bed), another one is in the air duct, right after you exit it(needed for one survivor mission, keep that photo) and another is found on a dove statue right as you exit the warehouse. If you see any interesting landmarks, store logos or movie posters chances are that there is a PP sticker hidden nearby. If you're doing Kent's mission, remember to get a good Erotica photo(taken from several NPCs who are considered "ultra sexy" by the game and give ridiculous score), Jessica is the best candidate as she is always in the safe room. Don't forget that you only need to take this photo once, if you keep it in your album it will stay in there for the rest of time, for future playthroughs(no such luck with the air duct photo, which needs to be taken every single playthrough for a certain group of survivors).
*Look for hidden items, like submachine guns or katanas. Note that submachine guns, shotguns and sniper rifles(latter only found in a gun store, guarded by a psychopath for most of the game) will not respawn in that location if the item is still in your inventory. There is at least one hidden submachine gun in every major location of the game.
*All items reset when you enter and reenter a cell, if you want to farm specific items keep that in mind
*Always have a mixed drink, there is no point in using other healing items outside of desperation. If you make Randomizer, try again and make something else. Remember that some items, such as ketchup or baking sugar, count as ingredients for the blender in place of food.
*Save often, but remember that you only have one slot(at least on xbox). You can easily screw yourself over if you're not careful
*Psychopaths are tough, don't feel bad if you can't kill them on your first run. Do remember that Adam, the game's first proper psychopath, not only gives you the most powerful weapon in the game when you kill him but also a shortcut, which is more useful than any weapon. I recommend at least giving this one a try.
*You can keep your level if you start a new game, letting you do new game+ without finishing the game. I strongly recommend finishing the game on one save starting from level 1, however, as it is much more satisfying. However, if you're getting frustrated and need a boost, you can always start over with a leg-up.
*If you dedicate your entire run to running over zombies in a truck in the underground tunnel, you will get 53,594(population of Willimette) or more kills. When you finish this playthru, you will receive a really OP gun that you can use to cheese the rest of the game with, if you're into this sort of thing.
*There is an underground tunnel that one can only access via parking lot in the park...at first. Once you make it in, head to the storage place not too far from the parking lot entrance. You will find a key that lets you open all maintenance doors in the mall now, letting you fast travel at ridiculous speeds if you know where you're going and what you're doing. This key is nearly essential in one of the later story missions.
*If you can't complete objectives on time, that's fine. Ending B is perfectly servicable as you're learning the game, it isn't even that bad(you die in every other ending other than S or A going forward). Don't reload when you run out of time necessarily, it might not be the end of the world.


There might be more, but that's what I can think of right off the bat. Most importantly of all, make sure to experiment with your loadouts. You're in a mall, some of the most fun(and effective) weapons are hiding in plain sight, and are in fact not weapons at all. Unarmed builds are brutal too, one you learn the ropes of the game.

HOWEVER

Capcom is also well within their rights not to give it to him, and I would bet they actually considered it before realizing he would tear the game apart and show off shit they didn’t want shown before release. To nuke close to a decade’s worth of work though just because you got snubbed? Dude’s definitely got some underlying mental issues…

Some survivors are aggressive, others are cowardly. This determines their willingness to go into hordes, cry, run away from danger, and actually use weapons. Some extremely aggressive survivors need to be reminded that they're not there to kill zombies. Most of the time survivors come in pairs, one is labeled 'dependent' on the other, meaning they follow their paired survivor and NOT Frank. Speaking of following Frank: Waypoints getting reset confuses the AI. They won't move to their new marker until their old marker has been reached.
Ultimately though, when time comes to deposit the survivors, the ledge is insurmountable. Your best bet is to knock a couple survivors down/pick them up to stop them from slamming into each other all the time.

To put this into prospective, this retard has years upon years of development history ranging from different alpha/Beta builds of the game that he will not release due to ego and selfishness. Gets told that he will not receive a review code due to the fact that he hasn't uploaded a video in over a year, lacks a big audience and said audience that will already buy the game if they're subscribed to a channel dedicated to said game, and he is also known to data mine. Privates his twitter, tells Capcom to go fuck themselves, privates every single video that he has made, threatens to kill himself over a mediocre remaster that even the shills like Gmanlives and tranny pornstar/Anthony Cumia sex toy Sue Lightning said that the game isn't that good.

Two hours before this discord comment, he was crying about his "mental health" stating that it was a tough year, and the thing to break him was not being able to play a game 1 month early. He goes on to say he will not be returning to the dead rising community. The same community that helped build his niche channel. Don't be surprised if he deletes his channel again after this, so if you are interested in the history of DRs development history be sure to archive his videos because i'm sure he is going to blow up again soo.

as I said earlier, this is clearly a weaker product.
This is the thing that bums me out. At this point you might as well just do a full reboot like the RE remakes and go totally buck wild with changing shit because this attempt to be as 1:1 as possible (but with none of the edgy shit included this time for muh modern sensibilities) now just makes the product directly inferior to the original.

I mean, what's the point? We get worse voice acting, worse difficulty, worse gore, worse sound design, worse character design, no erotica, obnoxious NPC dialogue, and MAYBE slightly better textures?

And if this sells well, again, I don't know what the fuck they're gonna do for a Dead Rising 2 remake. That game was full of sluts, dildos, and shit like that.

I just don't see the appeal, and this is coming from a guy who prefers RE4 remake to the original so I'm not opposed to modern Capcom slop.
I'd really like to know exactly what went wrong with 3 and 4.
There was this really great video I found once that dove into the absolutely absurd shit show of direction Blue Castle / Capcom Vancouver went through when trying to develop DR4 and the odds they were at with the Japanese company the whole time but I can't find it. It was crazy, they pitched like five completely different versions of DR4 before we got what we got and it was unironically probably the best thing they landed on.
