We know theres less than 8 hours for all of that to happen and that TK took his second dose in the later part of those 8 hours and it lasts for 24. Because there's a firebomb incoming.

Theres no circumstance where tk is a zombie in the S rank, can be on that elevator nor does that elevator even get used because there's no more helicopters coming for them.
That doesn't really make sense when you dig further into this. I guess Case West can still work if the firebombing was postponed once the word of survivors being in the city came down, or when we skip the first cutscene on the rooftop entirely but that's writing fanfiction at this point
I think its the one where katey became a hobo goth girl because reasons...?
The big twist at the end of the Facts of DR3 is that the big bad looking for her was Chuck himself, at some point she got tired of him being overprotective of her and she ran away with the illegals. You can guess how Chuck reacted to that. I'm guessing the implication is that he has gotten a lot harder to get along with after becoming a crime lord or that she was tired of that kind of life, this is sadly not really elaborated on. We do know Chuck and Stacy did not get along, so I'm guessing whatever made her distance herself also made Katey leave, probably another cut storypoint(just like how Frank was supposed to show up during Overtime as well and catch us up on what he was up to, in the final game his only appearance is a set of clothing, a magazine with him on a cover and a literal cardboard cutout in a museum).

The only one writing fan fiction is you. Case West takes place after the A ending, its the only ending its compatible with. There's no zombie TK forgotten in the safe house in the S ending.

Chuck does mention to Nick that he screwed up with Stacy and Katie "never forgave me for that". I assume after Chuck returned to them after the events of Case West, he went back to looking for a steady supply of Zombrex and trying to find the cure that supposedly existed. Now, you would assume that he and Frank would work together more frequently to try to uncover this massive conspiracy but I guess they both went on their separate ways as Chuck became more and more focused on Katie while Frank...look, I will say I wished to say he was investigating things behind the scenes but the wiki says "he is currently a zombie consultant and public speaker." so I guess Frank just decided to forget this massive loose end and return to a normal-ish life (very unlike Frank West when there is a mystery to unfold). At this point, there is more stuff that point Case West is non canon than otherwise (outside of one or two returning characters).

Eventually Chuck went into darker and darker methods to getting Zombrex and I doubt Stacy was a big fan of that so after some arguing that Im very sure Chunk must have used the perfect argument, being the emotionally restrained person he is, and she left. Katie really was looking up to her as a step mother so Im sure that was the beginning of the ever growing resentment that would climax with her running away.

With Frank being portrayed as such in Off The Record, despite it being non-canon, I think we can assume that he hits a wall with his investigation and just becomes a zombie grifter. He still has to eat, and Zombrex is expensive, not everyone is destined for a happy ending. Just look at Isabella, she doesn't get rescued and she comes to hate Chuck/Frank for it, on top of hating her brother for leaving her with this mess. She becomes just as evil and disillusioned under Mallon's claws as her, which is quite an interesting angle and I'm glad they went for this route. Just a shame that the series has so many underdeveloped plot and character hooks that were planned to be explored.

At this point, there is more stuff that point Case West is non canon than otherwise (outside of one or two returning characters).
I really don't see it. Case West is instrumental, as it exposes PhenoTrans and sets up character arcs for Chuck, Mallon and Isabella in the sequel. If you jump straight into DR3 after DR2, none of those make sense. Only unexplained variable is Frank, whom we can assume wasn't able to take down PhenoTrans, same as he couldn't prove government involvement in Santa Cabeza. He's just one balding guy who loves orange juice and can whack a zombie with a baseball bat, not some super human or a chosen one. In a way, it pays respects to his original design of "just an average joe", he did pretty well considering how much shit he went thru. Same goes for PhenoTrans, what was the plan here? Even when Chuck/Frank expose them for doing a little oopsie in Fortune City, what is the government supposed to do? Lock up the best and brightest working there and then let everyone die as the Zombrex machine come to a halt? Mallon went to jail, but we don't have any evidence that the company suffered for it, in fact the stocks continued to rise after Case West and eventually they were responsible for microchipping half the country as of DR3. Bad guys usually win, I mean just look at what is happening around us right now. I like this down-to-earth take the franchise has with it's handling of characters and story, especially when contrasted with the goofy shit you can do in-game.

Nick is an inconsistent character, 80% he sees a death he pukes all over himself, something which really doesnt fit tonally a rare few times hes cocky about his murder. The camera is far too zoomed in and wobbles like a drunk person is carrying it the only camera ive seen come close to as bad is kane and lynch. The world is far too big and lacks any kind of notable landmarks. The weapons locker completely defeats the point of the game, and "just dont use it" isnt a good argument when the world isnt designed in a way that combos are left next to each other. Bosses are way too easy and lack any kind of specialty/gimmick like past games. Its just not very good, I couldn't care less about the story, games are games.
The feeling I got all throughout Dead Rising 3 was that its developers kept saying "Wouldn't it be cool if-", and then they implemented their ideas into the game.

I liked it. It's good as far as games of its era go. But it's a bad Dead Rising game. If it were just called "Zombiez!!!!!!!! In YOU'RE t0wn!!!!!!!" it might have been regarded as a lil' sleeper hit.

That's really the crux of the issue, it's a great game but it's nothing like the older titles. If you look at the features in it, you might call them the evolution of what we've seen in Dead Rising 2, but at the end of the day the game is worse off for having a lenient timer and lack of proper survivor missions. It did the right thing by putting focus on the action and open world elements, as this is the best part of the game, but it suffers in other areas. Dead Rising 1 was janky as hell and combat was not very enjoyable most of the time, but it is still a fantastic game despite all that. There comes a point where nobody is going to be satisfied if you change too much and everybody has a different take on what makes a "true" Dead Rising game, but I am glad they focused on the game's strongpoints rather than to try and half-ass more features into the game from the older titles, the timer itself is halfassed enough(the DLCs lack it entirely, despite DR2 DLC episodes still including them).
Something that should be noted: Dead Rising 2 was always going to be an open world game with a city sized map with a focus on vehicles, ever since it's inception. What we see in Dead Rising 3 was always going to be the plan for the devs, what stopped them were the console limitations at the time. This, and I assume heavy scrutiny from Capcom Japan overseeing the project, led to them playing it safe and making the game much closer to how Dead Rising 1 played, and it is a pretty impressive game in it's own right for the hardware it's build. It shouldn't be surprising that when the next gen hardware hit, the first thing Capcom Vancouver did was to make the game they always wanted to create. I like to think that this lead to more time polishing up internally what they wanted to see in a true open world title, seeing what worked and what didn't in DR2 as a test bed.

It's been a month and still no news on the remake. That's always a good sign, the "hype" is so real that Wikipedia article on Dead Rising as a franchise doesn't even have the remake listed on it yet. Isn't this supposed to come out next month?

Anyways, I wanted to share something I found: Peter Flemming, voice actor of Chuck Greene, did a QA on discord a while back
The interview is actually pretty cool, he seems to be a chill guy who is a lot like Chuck. The "interesting" part comes at around 14:30, where someone randomly decides to have him say "TRANS RIGHTS!" and I just had to stop watching. I had my doubts about that whole community, but if even something as small and niche as Dead Rising fandom has retards randomly injecting poz into it, I can't really take it seriously. Seeing them slobber over the demake like this when the first showing was as awful as it is doesn't help, but really you could say that about most of Capcom's fanbase.
Apparently there is second interview taken about a year later. It's cute that's he seems to be so involved with the DR fanbase, from what I know TJ similarly likes his role as well.
Not sure about the quality of this one, short screening has me listening to some annoying little kid's voice, but the highlights in the descriptions sound interesting. I will watch it later.
Just thought I would share this, there might be more info there someone might find interesting but I am tapping out. I know the voice actor for one of the Dead Rising 3 psychos also had an interview, I will link it here as well:
Are there anymore out there?

I'll reserve my judgement until it actually comes out.
I've personally enjoyed the recent remakes, RE2 Remake was alright, RE4 Remake was alright. The only one that was shit in my opinion was the RE3 Remake.
So, I have decent hopes for this one. I honestly couldn't care less about the chink chef getting changed. As long as everything else is either in-tact or somehow improved upon I'll be happy.

Honestly, that's kind of what I'm worried about more or less. Will this change the plot of the game like the Resident Evil remakes did? And if so, how much? That's what I'm concerned with them fucking up. If they change it, it better be good is all I'm saying.

i honestly wouldn't mind them changing the plot a little bit. for example, it's pretty fucking weird you never actually see Carlito and Isabella interact. At all. They do not share a single scene together.

Looks like Cheryl's dress redesign wasn't for practicality like some people were coping and her photo shoot request will probably be removed entirely. They'll also have to change the genre that Kent wants for the photo challenge.

This is such a pointless change to make, of all the complaints that Dead Rising 1 has had over the years I don't think I've ever seen someone complain about the erotica photos. Removing content to please a minority of people who weren't even fans of the original game.

not to be a goyslop enjoyer, but it looks good.
Am I the only one who thinks the new art style for the main cast is ugly? Everyone was rightfully talking about Frank but Brad looks a good 10 older than he was in the original game and Jessie's face looks much more masculine.

I doubt the devs even are fans. A lot of this remaster just feels like out of touch changes by people who don't even like or care for the original, and just have a list of check boxs to hit.

At this rate I wouldn't be surprise if they remove the word psychopath because that might offend the minority seeing how they get called it often.

DR1 has a gritty slimely undertone and realism the later games lost as they got more and more over the top, and stopped caring about the little details.

For every major thing in DR1 there small things like Some food can spoil if held in your invtory for too long .

Later games did bring back spoiled food, but you can only get them from breaking open garbage.

No way in hell this Remaster is even going to come close to the charm of the original.

Brad is supposed to be 46 years old, if anything, he looked too young in the original for some reason. (https://deadrising.fandom.com/wiki/Brad_Garrison)

as for the Erotica being removed, it's unfortunate to remove things from the game, but far from the end of the world, let's be honest here. what were the major Erotica things? Jesse's closed legs and some zombie tits? it's not like they removed the camera mechanic entirely, as far as camera categories go, Erotica was by far the least used.

to be clear, it's not good they're removing material, but honest to fucking god, can any of you name a major Erotica moment that was important or anything here? I just played the game last week and I took 1 Erotica photo for Kent.

It's not that they removing a fun little side thing from the game that's the problem. They not even doing it for a good reason, and this is a remaster. WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY REMOVING SHIT OUT OF A REMASTER. This starts to edge the line of just being a remaster (or even a deluxe version) when they go about removing shit.

Also while most Erotica is pointless fun bonus points(Again aside from the 1 challenge with the pyscho path, and the mission with Cheryl wanting you to take Erotica shots of her.).

I feel like they should have just expanded on it. Let the girls/gay guys have some fun and take Erotica of males.

(Side note, if we are going for the angle of removing the more pointless photo bonus then Horrific should get the axe as well, just as under used.)

Erotica had to be removed because it involves you directly objectifying women. That's a no-no. But they'll spend hours of dev time adding all kinds of additional explicit gore.

This basically kills the remake for me because Dead Rising was full of edgy B-movie elements, including sleazy sex stuff. If you remove that then you annihilate a huge appeal.

I don't know. This is shaping up to be a vastly inferior product. I have no interest anymore.

isn't horrific the most used, as it's what all zombies count as? or is that something else?

They not even doing it for a good reason, and this is a remaster.

i honestly don't understand why it's being called a remaster, this is clearly not a remaster. it's a remake. they literally remade the game. it's on an entirely new fucking engine? like am I not understanding what these terms mean?

Seems like we are getting another of what I call "normie pleasers."

For you see, these remakes dont need to necessarily appeal to veterans of the series, not anymore. What they need to do is please enough normies who dont notice/care about the changes from the original as, chances are, they never even played nor care to play the original.

Like it or not, gaming became a mainstream normie hobby and they sadly outnumber us so companies these days dont really gotta to appeal to the niche audience of actual gamer nerds who care about integral yet small details to the overall experience. They gotta please the normies will go "That was a fun and very unoffensive experience of which will leave no major impact with myself. In fact, what game I just played right now? Oh well, next one!"

Its not for the Erotica photos themselves we are concerned, it is the fact they are altering something, because in the last 2 decades we have noticed the trend of "harmless little changes" snowballing into major changes that alter the meaning of the experience completely. And its always defended with "its not a big deal" and eventually they take off the masks and enter the "And thats a good thing" phase where what we liked is completely altered. And it keeps fucking happening with the same excuses being thrown and once we enter into the "its a good thing" phase, its usually too late and the brand is permanently tainted with globo homo clown world degenerate fuckery.

We dont care we cant take erotica photos off zombie titties, is the fact we know it almost never stops here. Its cultural boiling of the frogs.

"Its just erotica points people almost never use."
"Its just making the characters more realistic"
"Its just a butcher character."
"Its just a flag."
"Its just a couple"
"Its just a skin tone change"
"Its just a strong female character"
"Its just removing some negative comments and reviews made by conservative trolls"
"Dont like this new Dead Rising? Maybe its time you find another hobby, get rekt'ed chud."

It.Never.Stops.With.Just.One.Change because it will never be enough for them and there will always be one more demand from DEI from the usual suspects like Blackrock and Vanguard.

for me, it just depends on what they change. i personally don't care what someones skin color is or if I can't take 2 pictures of a woman knees for Erotica points.

now if they changed things like, adding in combo weapons or removing the time limit, then I would be upset.
