I am going to necro this thread because I'm curious: How many of you actually went for the 7 Day Survivor achievement for OG Dead Rising? I'm gonna go for it soon, my xbox is getting on in the years and I want to do this while I can. This is going to take me 14 hours of gaming non-stop, at the very least, and that's if I am not going to make any mistakes(VERY optimistic). Let me know what your experience has been, I want to go in prepared.
In the meantime, I am doing my other achievements as warmup and to finally 100% the game. Doing the Tour Guide achievement, and now Saint, it reminded me how fucking stupid the AI in this game is. I'm fully leveled up as of today and I have no problem fending off psychopaths and zombies, but good lord escorting these chucklefucks and making it back to the saferoom on time(or without one of them accidentally bumping into a zombie and letting it kill them like a bitch) is the real challenge. Thank fuck they made the AI miles better in later titles.
Other than that, I am very much enjoying my time, and silently dreading putting away an entire day, possibly several, to get this one achievement. Still, I wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy the game, and boy is this one good. I forgot how good Capcom fans had it back then, especially since this came out right after RE4. In a way, you could tell Capcom would become modern day crapcom after Dead Rising 4.
