SpookNJukes made this video where he got into a debate with someone who said slurs aren't toxic & he went into a full autistic sperg about it. He also mentioned that his daughter is autistic and how it offended him.

I haven't watched the video yet and probably won't (spooknjukes is such a faggot that listening to him makes me irrationally angry) but the parents I've met with disabled kid who get super butthurt about "slurs" are more retarded then their kids.

Spook's whole thing of "how do you know, how do you KNOW they're not retarded" applies equally to every possible insult. How do you know that someone wasn't called stupid by their mother their whole life to the point where it's traumatizing to be called that? How do you know someone wasn't told "you'll never amount to anything" by a certain teacher, and so hearing that as trash talk sends them into a debilitating spiral? At that point the only argument that any insults are acceptable is that it's a numbers game, that 0.01% chance of hurting someone is just fine compared to 0.2%. And they don't even believe that themselves.

The logical conclusion of "don't say mean things because you don't know who will be disproportionately hurt by it" is essentially anti-communication. Everything is potentially triggering and by your own shitty rules it's dismissive to downplay that.

And on the other side of things, Spook missed out on the incredibly easy win of just blathering on about normalization. Even if you know that no retarded people are around, the fact that you said it means everyone in earshot is slightly more likely to consider it an acceptable insult and then use it where someone who CAN get hurt will hear it. That's its own separate argument, but he was a dipshit for not even having that line occur to him.
