In a more balanced world, all of the lolcows we've documented, would be the ones accurately hated and judged by nearly everyone, both on KF and surface web. But somehow, they're not, not at least universally. KiwiFarms would have some lax from the pressure, wouldn't be as demonized and all it'd be hated for is that we say 'nigger' and 'faggot'. That'd be it.

That really tells me how batshit society really is. The effort to even take down pedophiles is somehow more effort than is needed, yet we even have them in the government.
 
Scum such as they will not escape judgement. They're in for a rude awakening when they finally kick the bucket.
Ironically if they actively sought to genuinely repent and pay penance things would turn out OK for 'em.
 
If this ends up being the end of Kiwi Farms, I just wanted to say it’s been an honor to be here this past year. People can say whatever they want about the site, but everyone who actually spent time here knows their own experience.

If it stays at least 65-80% on the clearnet, quite a lot of people would still use it. The only problem would be if it went down 24/7 for more than 3 weeks. Also, you might as well just go to reddit if you want to be language-policed. I know people think that people today have low attention spans these days, but I would argue that most of the folks who use the website or lurk can handle the clearnet not being up for a few hours a day since forums are not fast-paced. This place is also pretty unique and it's hard to not check out from time to time just to catch up with some of the happenings. You should take a small break from the website if it's causing you so much despair. The current DDoS made quite a lot of people finally register here after lurking for years (me included).

I don't agree at all with the idea of banning "hate speech". Brute force and suppression does not magically make people un-hateful towards X/Y/Z group while singing and holding hands. That being said, over the years I've had to come to terms with the fact that there's no such thing as an absolute right to expression with no limits, because the average person also understands how speech can be used to violate their rights. This is why we have laws against defamation, threats, revenge porn, CSAM, data brokering, and why we'll probably have laws against phonebooking in the next 5-10 years. If you want Kiwi Farms to survive in the future, you will probably have to make the choice at some point to remove the phonebooking aspect of it.

This isn't about people like Elaine Miller or Naught who are extremely mentally unwell and would DDoS you no matter what you do. This is about getting the general public on your side, and potentially people like Thomas Lynch or Cloudflare, so you are more equipped to deal with those kinds of troublemakers. I think people generally have the right to document others for the same reason you should have the right to record history without any ministry of truth getting in the way, but posting addresses and phone numbers is a social taboo that incentivises illegal behavior and makes everyone side against the site, even if there's no explicit harassment happening and even if it's legal.

As an autistic person who lives in fear of saying the wrong thing, this is the only place I have ever felt welcome and not lived in fear of gettimg a ban for saying the wrong thing when I didn't mean to hurt someone.

Even if they "win" over us, their lives will still be miserable. Even if KF perishes from the Internet, they will still be lolcows.

The internet is just not as it was and it never will be. We've seen this trend of censorship increasing for the past 2 decades. Realistically, if you want as much free speech as you want, and the right to self expression, find irl circles that share your sentiment. In the next 10 years, offline will be the only way.
