This may be dumb, but do you need 1 Gbps in a single line or distributed bandwidth that equals 1 Gbps? If it's distributed, can Tartarus be something like Folding-at-Home?

Tranny zoo niggers will never keep me away from this site, but I'd be surprised if the average user even had the link. I hope I'm wrong, though, and that the average user can figure it out instead of repeatedly searching "is kiwifarms down". I doubt I will be able to help solve Null's problem in a significant way, but I'll continue to brainstorm
 
i know its not a forever solution but i am more than fine with just using tor. its genuinely really easy especially if you use brave. i am not sure if its been asked before but have you ever considered breaking the website apart?

as in have the lolcow and general community threads as their own website and then have the more problematic threads as their own entirely different website that is tor only.

as for the cloudflare coverage is there any possible way you could just pay somebody you trust to use their name or LLC to handle everything and then somehow route this websites traffic through that other persons connections? or is that not possible/too retarded?


either way im not surprised glowniggers are causing issues. my question would be why do they want the site gone? are we catching their informants or something?
 
I've been pretty sure that the CIA niggers (feds) are behind DDOS botnets. It's a way to censor the Internet without openly admitting to it. DDOS everyone you don't like, force them to pay money for their mob protection racket ddos-filtering service Cloudflare. If they hate you a lot, they won't even take your money.

The other convenient side effect is that it takes the small self-funded guys out of the game of even hosting anything on the Internet, so that the existing large monopolies don't lose...

The amount of money being thrown at KF to try and shove it off clearnet must be astonishing. They just keep hammering away, desperate to shut it down.

The problem, though, is even if a white knight comes through for Null and the forums, that white knight will become an instant target. You would need someone with the autism of Elon Musk combined with the absolute fuck-you energy of a bulldozer. Because the psychos and troons will go after them next, aided by whatever media and government organs they control.

Not blackpilling here, but just stating facts.

The reality is you don't win a war on defense. You have to start bringing the fight to their doorstep. That means subpoenas, court orders, lawsuits, and public disclosure. They want to threaten you with a defamation lawsuit, smile and tell them you look forward to the process server showing up. Getting things discussed in the public record never ends well for weirdos.

Please forgive me if my questions are super-stupid, I admit to my ignorance advance.

What would an attack of the same size do to X or Amazon? What would it do to whitehouse.gov?

The only thing I can think of that could possibly maybe be remotely useful would be to reach out to Elon Musk. He probably won't appreciate the Elon Musk thread and might tell you to fuck right off. But, maybe if you approach him humbly, hat in hand, give him a little more detail about the actors involved, appeal to his past support of free speech, and come up with some decent analogies to explain how this might hurt other websites that everyone doesn't hate, maybe, just maybe, he'll either help you directly or at least think of something. You might have to sacrifice the Musk thread, and that's a real kick in the dick, as is having to suck up to Musk, but it might be worth it to save those other threads that have aggravated some of the most disgusting people in the world. I leave it to your own moral judgment if you want to attempt this or not.

I have another question, which also might be dumb, but here goes: How many of the people DDOSing the site are foreign actors? Is there any way to tell? Maybe a tip to Homeland Security might be in order. They might tell you to go fuck yourself too, or more likely, open a file on you, or just ignore you, but this might be something you want to carefully consider.

Final ignorant question: can this be connected to OFCOMM in any way? My own logic and reasoning tells me "No" because they're so clearly incompetent, but if these attacks are directly and clearly linked to a foreign government(s), this might help your case when asking for help.

Thank you for all the joy you've given me over the years. If Kiwi Farms goes down even from Tor, I will miss it terribly. No other website can ever replace it.

The automatic redirect wasn't working for me. Easily remediable if Null just pin an announcement with the onion link, so people see it when the farms are up again. So they can just bookmark it on Tor

Nowadays is easy and simple for even the most turbo normies, remember how clunky Tor was on the 2010? Today it's easy peasy

Doesn't he have his shit in a data center? I could see this for self hosted stuff but certainly not this site. It's under constant attack, requires a fuck ton of bandwidth and redundancy.
 
Fuckin' hell, feels like the whole world is against KF simply because we hang out shitty people's dirty laundry and use no-no words. Not sure I'd use the internet anymore if it wasn't for this site because of how bad its gotten. I'm not even sure of any place nearly as interesting to me as this site. The people that want this site down and demonize it every chance they get are ironically some of the worst scum in existence, I hope some day far more people realize this objective fact and realize the absolute entities they support.
Clearnet is rotten with cancer, I'd be more than happy for this site to disconnect with it but I'm not sure how feasible that is nor do I know if that is even a good idea for this site's longevity, convenience makes or breaks a great many things (I've seen people quit services entirely because it took an extra step than before). It certainly won't stop the entities that attack this site, probably barely slow them down, but it can't be worse than what you're already dealing with daily.
Remember folks, we're the bad guys for showing the world how bad some people really are and laughing about it, remember that when you see the mass graveyards of those who claim to be the good guys.

Shit sucks, and I feel like no matter what happens, data flows through the T1 ISPs and since Cogent blocked you once before, any of the other T1 ISPs could do it as well. Smaller network guys also overprovision their networks like crazy and feed entire ISPs off a 10 gig link, so they'd feel a constant 1 gig eater like the farms at DDoS throughput.

For anyone who isn't Null reading this, the small guys can't handle the constant throughput so as Null said, they black hole traffic to prevent their other customers from feeling the attack. An example is a standard fiber PON, 1 laser split 32+ times can support at least 32 customers, but maxes out at 2.5 gigabit download, 1.25 gigabit upload. Normally this isn't an issue because even gigabit customers don't use their full throughput unless downloading something big, so it can schedule timeslots to receive this, and send that in a way that everyone gets their paid speed. Small guys rely on this principle to sell way more bandwidth than they actually have knowing most people won't use it all at once.

I still think there should be instructions posted. We have literal boomer grandpas here, I'd rather make continuing to sneed with us a foolproof process than smugly say well, if you don't already know you don't deserve it anyway. Showing the uninitiated how to protect themselves and use these tools is a good thing.
