DDoS attacks

To be honest, I don't like using Tor. It's not difficult or much of an inconvenience to use, but I wish I could browse this website the same way I can see pornography on Youtube, videos of people getting murdered on World Star, mass bullying and doxing on X and Reddit. Kiwi Farms is not some drug-slinging or prostitution website. It does not belong on Tor. We're posting cats on Saturdays, complaining about video games, and ranting about how much men hurt women. It does not belong on Tor.

All the Kiwi Farms does is impotently talk about silly things. It's really not a bad website. Nobody does anything with the information posted here. Nobody even remembers most of the people talked about in every thread. It's all just transient entertainment, and for some reason it's given an immensely hyperbolic reputation of violence. I refuse to believe anything discussed on the Kiwi Farms is any different than what is discussed in unmodded Youtube comments and Facebook posts.

There are trans users here. There are gay users here. There are fat users here. There are autistic people here. Men and women participate and bicker at each other. No one is brigading. No one is interfering in the lives of the people discussed in the threads. At what point do journalists and Internet personalities keep parroting the same script from articles over 10 years old now? It's all so tiresome.

Isn't there anything any of the 1500+ active users can do to help the website get DDOS protection? What worldwide companies are our options for DDOS mitigation services? Who do we pay? Who do we have to email? What phone numbers do we call for girltalk? Do we write to a particular representative or congressman?

If all the site needs is DDOS mitigation, what could a large group of people do to help the administrator achieve that?

Convincing wikipedia to remove the bullshit from the kiwi farms wikipedia page is a start (yes i am serious). Good luck with that though.

if you're looking for something more current, think if you have any relatives or friends of friends and try find someone who works at ISPs/datacenters, ask if you can put them in touch with a swarthy gentleman who's wiling to pay many shekels if he'll be given a fair shot.

DDOSing goes against the mission of the website which is to archive everything, as denying service means preventing the collection of information. Tampering in the form of weenery contaminates content so it also goes against the mission of the website.

To add on, this is the 'greater point' of the whole shebang I'd mentioned a while back. While Tor isn't hard to use or set up nowadays, the fact of the matter is that if all of that other bullshit is allowed on clearnet, so should we. There shouldn't have to be a barrier to entry for normies to see what sickos get up to. It's a criminally-ridiculous double standard that shouldn't need pointing out, but powerful forces have a vested interest in keeping useful idiots aimed at us while they prototype their censorship engine.

Just send a letter documenting this to their legal department along with everything we have about how they chose to remove kiwifarms from their service and ask if they are a utility or a publisher

I got curious as to how feasible this is, so I did some tinkering and you can now access the forum over Tor2Web at kiwifarms.sneed.today. I'm posting through it right now! Be warned, it is considered an OPSEC NVKE to pass any personal details through this service since I could access plaintext traffic.
