I think it is either time to take this site off of the normal web and just make it a TOR thing or we may have to pass some rules for what can be posted here in line with X and Facebook and maybe make a public statement about how we are cracking down on hate speech and make regular donations to the Trevor Project,

I don't see how this site can stick around any other way.

Tearing it all down and becoming a fucking terrorist (Barbarian) apparently, according to history. Use shitty houses for firewood. Become a Luddite. Idk.

It doesnt matter niggers have commited all that crime, what matters is that we called them niggers. It doesnt matter that faggots have demonstrated over and over they ARE coming for our children, what matters is that we called them faggots.

It's worse than that.

The objective penalty currently being levied on society for using forbidden words like "nigger" and "faggot" is violent death. If you call some random baskeball person "nigger," it has been deemed appropriate for them to kill you and your whole family in a driveby. If you call some queen "faggot," it has been deemed appropriate for them to shoot up a nightclub or a school, inflicting dozens or even hundreds of casualties.

^^even reading back over what I just typed throws into stark relief just how laughably absurd and retarded this situation in which we find ourselves is. I am reminded of the Michael Caine character in "Children Of Men" who, even as he faced down the barrel of his imminent demise, kept joshing his captors to "pull my finger." That's how stupidly ludicrous this all is.

Words, man. They're just *fucking words.* They're nothing more than organized mouth noises. And yet some have been deemed so offensive that the literal penalty is death. What the absolute fuck.

It's not fed posting that's literally the end of these empire stories that falter and kill themselves and kill the happiness of its populus.

Fedposting is defending the cause or just wishing random violence or chaos to occur so it can benefit your operation in some way.

like anything lower than 98% uptime is really disasterous. if the site is unreliable people will just stop using it over time. it won't grow, it will shrink. if we shrink we can't combat the problems we have. we can barely combat them with what we have.

I respect the work & dedication you've put in, but I disagree. 40% uptime is a disaster, but 98% seems doable, at least until they get tired of burning money. We must've been down ~25 days in the last 5 years, yet the site's grown yugely.

Then again, as @Null himself once said: "we can stay retarded longer than they can stay solvent."

I am not saying we have to. The Trevor Project is a suicide prevention program so it is not like the money would be doing any harm and it could help the site.

There is the other option of course. I am not a programing wizard but I am pretty sure there are ways to take this site private so only people invited in by members could get on the site, that could be an option as well.

nah. fuck that shit. we have gone too long to just bend the knee now. besides do you think if Null were to instantly start taking things down and censoring people and following the rules all of a sudden cloudflare would be like "oh hey welcome back friend you can use our service now" ? because they would not do that.

they would continue to fuck with the site and Null as long as the site is up in any form. they want to make an example out of this place and out of Null to show to the world so they can go "see this is what happens when you refuse to fall in line"

now of course you may think to yourself "well why does this site matter so much there are plenty of other lolcow/gossip/free speech websites" thats the trick. once we go down for good as the example the same thing can be done for all the other websites until only the approved content and the approved speech is allowed to exist.

you do not bend the knee to these types of people because if you do they will make sure you never stand up again the rest of your life and even after you are dead they will wave your corpse around as proof of their victory.

They're attacking Tor on L7. I know of multiple things I can do there to increase reliability.

right, I meant when I asked "what's left?" I was trying really hard not to state the obvious.
We all know where this shit is headed though, if the situation doesn't improve.

I have heard two versions of an alleged Solzhenitsyn quote that whitepill me:

1. "One word of Truth outweighs the whole world".
2. "Let the lie come into the world, let it even dominate the world. But not through me."

Yeah, I can't get the TOR site working either.

I think it is time to consider a ban on at least the most extreme hate speech if we want this site to continue.

We can still talk about things but maybe do it without the slurs and make it clear that like the rest of the world we see that free speech reaches its limit when it harms other people,

The Kiwi Farms is a website with archives of public information and no limits on expression. If we're going to start adding limits it's another site and it's somebody else's problem; i'll be doing tech solutions for medicaid and taking up polo as a hobby.

Random question: what does it mean when I get a 503 error or a "This site can't be reached" error when trying to access the .onion site via Brave (in a Tor window)?

(Ironically I am posting this from clearnet)

Yeah, I’m seeing the same thing on the Tor side as well.
