This isn't even specific to her but when will actors/actresses, directors or any other adjacent staff learn that its not a wise idea to try and alienate or antagonize your fanbase before the movies out? All you should do is say that you're excited to be there and promote something positive for the movie, it could fucking suck and be less watchable than Dragonball Evolution but at least you didn't tank your career or potential millions during the PR. Hell if you even say it could've been better and hope the fans forgive you they might even stick by you for another venture. But going on record to say: "Oh errrmmm its not the old ages anymore, you're going to hate it!" Is just retarded. Like when Rachel whats her face said shes making a modern Snow White because the 1930's were le bad.

That comic is reviled by some redditors for "Black face" or whatever. But it's actually very much an attack on racism as Lois finds how people treat her differently even though she's the same person.

Some people just want to be angry.
I'm sure it's a little tone-deaf and silly at points, but yeah I suspect the change wasn't going to be a story like Aqua Teen where she suddenly can dance on Soul Train and whatever, but probably "oh gosh I tried to do a thing but somebody said 'woah there missy youre black so no way' because I'm black"

I've haven't found an article or interview with Brosnahan saying this. This may be fake news. That being said, I still wouldn't be surprised if James Gunn made Superman a soy boy.
The source for this seems to be from a Synderverse fan group so I'm leaning toward it being a fake. There's no source or date listed and she hasn't said much about the movie in other interviews beyond that she enjoyed working on it and that it's "hopeful".

There is no hero that is for everyone. That is to say, no hero apart from Superman. He is timeless.
You say that but so many deconstructions or subversions of Superman are getting more popularity and traction. Look at Homelander or Omni-Man or even the DCEU variant, people think its more believable or “cool” to have powers and be a demented sociopath or brooding misanthrope.

You are just proving my point. Yeah, there are deconstructions but they never last. People are sick of Injustice, Homelander has outlived his welcome and Omni-Man learned to be more of a Superman by the end. As for the variants, people play with them for a day or two and then they abandon them. None of them comes close to replacing Supes. People like his positivity, his optimism, his strength and his kindness. It is just like the fight vs the Elite. Cruelty was fun and all until the maniacs started acting like maniacs. Or when Supes was acting like one. Not so fun then. Superman has longevity and universality. None of his deconstructions do.

Believe, always believe.

What happens to Captain Marvel? It seems that DC either hates him, or doesn't know what to do with him, as it's kinda like Superman... But with Magic (TM), and we can't have that, as there can be only one of this type.
I wouldn’t say that they hate him considering Cap has had a few books lately and is a regular fixture in the comics. I think the issue is that the last Shazam movie was such a bomb why would they bother with him right now. Plus with Zach having been an evil Orange Man supporter Shazam/Captain Marvel might have some taint on him to some retards out there.

Lets hope this is true after Gunn's Superman.

Hes not hard to write its just nobody wants to dig that extensively into his rogues gallery and family ensemble. Nobody wants to write for an alien worm who mind-controls other villains or Dr. Sivana. Hell Billys even fought a WW2 villain like Captain Nazi who has superman level powers. They just wanna rehash Black Adam all the time or even have him upstage Billy because hes "cooler."

Gunn... I will say this as nicely as possible: He is not the kind of guy that can write Superman. If Snyder missed the mark, then Gunn did not even arrive in at the right shooting range. He is too cynical, too tainted by what is and closed of to what could or should be. He lacks hope. You could see it in that artwork where the world is being destroyed and Supes is putting his boots on. That told me everything I need to know about this movie. I could see the cynicism and unwillingness to give pure good the respect it deserves.

I do not know which DC hero he could write. Not Superman, not Flash, not Batman, maybe Wonder Woman as she is more cynical of the world around her and maybe Green Lantern. Perhaps Martian Manhunter would be the ideal for him. A rather normal man like John that is super in Earth and looks for a new home would be best for him. But DC as a whole is to idealistic for him.

Good news, in the DC verse for once.

The Sgt. Rock movie, the one starring Colin Farrel as Sgt Rock, and directed by the Italian guy that directed Daniel Craig in Queer, and Timothy Chalamet in that other gay peach fucking movie, is dead.

But the fact that it ever existed, even in theory tells you everything you need to know about the state of the DCU. This was Gunn's and Safran's idea by the way, shut down by the bean counters.

You thought Snyder was bad, didn't you. I mean, I thought he was terrible, but Jesus Christ, it's going to get so very mich worse.
