Nah, I get more of a "Lost one-shot King of the Hill character" vibe from him. I half expect him to terrorize Bobby Hill or something. So this is what happened to Al Bundy after the end of Married...with Children...

Considering Bobby is an almost effeminate character, that might be the case. He'll try to tell Hank his son is a faggot after a hilarious misunderstanding.
If I recall (I've watched this clown long before I discovered the farms), it was actually a group of his players that were uncomfortable with his aggressive proselytizing, and complained to the principal, who told Dave to cut that shit out. He screamed persecution of course, but got fired when he refused to stop. He tried to get another coaching job a few years ago, but several atheist/secular groups emailed the school district with links to his history, and the district wisely decided they didn't want to hire someone who would get them sued.
Not all private schools have athletic programs, especially ones specifically in need of a sports coach so I imagine it would be harder to find something like that.I don't get it. Aren't there plenty of private Christian schools that would welcome a coach talking about muh Jesus constantly? Or does that not feed into his "people don't all believe in what I believe in PERSECUTION!!" complex?
Everything that is going on down in Charlottesville is to try to get the white Christian man to shut his mouth and go into hiding.
