Credit to @yawning sneasel for a pretty big bulk of the research into this guy, I have been aware of him for a while and thought about how he may be good for a thread, reinforced heavily by Sneasel's encouragement.

"Coach" David Daubenmire is a former High School Football Coach, but he hasn't been involved in sports for nearly a decade. Instead he has taken to form his own ministry, aptly named "Pass the Salt" because this guy is one salty motherfucker. All over youtube and social media he has preached against all sorts of groups: gays, lesbians, trannies, Atheists, and "the Left" a demonic entity that dares disagree with him.

No matter where he goes, he always goes there completely unreasonably and is a near-constant stream of far-right ranting and getting into drama, even with other far-right figures who get tired of his shit.

Coach Dave has also gotten involved in the gender-bathroom debate where Target has stated that the store will allow people to use the bathroom of the gender that they identify as. In an article published on the Breitbart website Coach Dave records his visit to a local target where he is told that he may use either the women's or men's restroom. The video is available below.


Dave felt that it was his place to protest Target's bathroom rule and was asked to leave, eventually with police getting involved.




Dave has also had a few run-ins with the law. Coach Dave was the Head Coach of the local High School football team. As Head Coach he would force the players into prayer. In 1999 the ACLU sued the district to force this to stop. Ultimately, Coach Dave lost this battle. The district ultimately had to pay $18,000 in damages. It was at this point when Dave decided to leave and begin his own ministry. 8 years later however, Dave's son Zachary was busted for Child Porn and Dave was implicated in this case as well and was forced to pay a fine and was placed on probation.

There was also a petition launched against Dave to prevent him from gaining employment in the local school district. Nearly 5,000 people signed it.

The argument against hiring Coach Dave was a video he had made on the topic of bullying.

“This shooting down in Orlando, Florida? It will soon be my fault,” Daubenmire said. “It will soon be the fault of radical, right-wing Christians.”

Daubenmire said that the massacre in Orlando showed that “the devil is willing to sacrifice some of his own team in order to get our big players” and warned that gun control will lead to the killing of conservative Christians.

“How long did it take before Obama started talking about gun control?” Daubenmire asked. “How long did it take before you saw him on CNN talking about gun control? How did they get the guns? Daubenmire declared that Islam is “the new religion” and “anybody who’s against this new religion, they’re going to get it.”

It's always nice to have a new right-winger to pick on. What with the seemingly endless supply of SJW nonsense we get flooded with every day; Fundie Christian types are getting closer and closer to respectability. Haha, what scrambled this guy's brain? (Oh right, it was Jay-zus) He switches back and forth between "Bullying isn't a big deal! It's just how the world works and toughens you up!" to "THE GOVERNMENT IS BULLYING ME, MAKE IT STOP" throughout the whole video. He can't even hold a logically consistent argument for 4 minutes. At first I thought his argument was "Bullying is bad, but the government is the bigger bully," but then he switched back to "We need bullying to build a generation of STRONG AMURRICANS."

I feel bad for all of the poor law enforcement officers who have to deal with this guy rather than spending their time making the community safe from actual threats, not imaginary, pedophilic peeping Toms who only exist in Coach Dave's imagination. (By the way, if someone goes around calling himself a "coach" and wears a coach's uniform long after he was fired from actually being a school coach, then this person is much more likely to be some kind of child predator)
