That seems kind of high, even with the reasons given.
The judge cited the seriousness of the charges, public safety concerns, the courthouse location of the shooting and Eatherly already being on bond as factors contributing to the high bond.

I have an acquaintance in the US who got into Orthodoxy a few years ago and he's so incredibly burnt out on it because all his local Orthodox churches are being filled up with wignat autistics who openly talk about le boogaloo TND and whatnot, meanwhile the church is like half brown people (Greeks and whatnot).

At that time, Tyler Brown was charged with distributing cocaine near an elementary school in Boston. He pleaded guilty, but the case was later vacated.

In 2014, he was indicted on several assault and battery charges, as well as witness intimidation.

During the case, the medical director at Bridgewater State Hospital diagnosed brown with depression and declared him mentally ill. He was sentenced to four to five years on the assault charges.

By 2020, he was out of prison. In May of that year, it was a scene similar to the one in Cambridge.

Boston police say brown fired 13 rounds at officers who responded to a call for a man with a gun on a busy street.

Officers say they found brown on Mass Ave., appearing ‘emotionally disturbed’ and walking around with an unlicensed semi-automatic pistol. In that case, no one was hurt.

Brown eventually pleaded guilty to eight charges – including assault to murder. The district attorney’s office recommended a 10-12-year sentence, but Brown was sentenced to six years. Law enforcement agencies criticized that sentence.

“It’s predictable when you have someone who shot at police officers just a few years ago and gets a light sentence, it is very likely he is going to do it again and graduate to the next level, which he did, so that was preventable,” Frank Frederickson, Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police.

Not for the charges. He may be able to get it reduced like Karmelo to something he could afford with the GiveSendGo, but he'll lose that money to the bail bondsman which means he has nothing for legal defense. Essentially he's staying in jail unless the stars align.

It's the "innocent until proven guilty but your fucking guilty" bail height. Also the Judge noted happening to have a shootout out by the courthouse as a reason, meaning Chud's crimes are being taken as a personal offense to the rule of law.

People often say, "Well, you know, different counties and different judges and - " Justice needs to be universal across the states.

Actually, now that you bring this up, this is a good point. I'm curious how this case will affect the Anthony case, but if one is let out and the other is doomed to having the book thrown at them, I don't think people will handle it well.
