Fighting words is more a matter of constitutional law but yes you're basically right. This is a matter of state self-defense law which generally doesn't allow it if you incite the conflict. Whether he incited it or not is what the lawyers are going to argue.

I'm aware. I don't live in Tennessee and I never studied law there so I don't know how judges typically rule in these types of cases, I'm just saying you generally don't have a right to self defense if you're the one instigating the fight.

Calm down friend. Niggers' fragility over the nigger word is retarded and is obvious proof that they are a different species to us. You are correct in that words are not violence, however, words can be a provocation and meet a legal definition which is the issue here.

All too often in debates such as these people loose sight of this. What is legal and illegal are completely different from and usually have little to no bearing or influence on what can and or will happen to you in real life in any given scenario.

People get too hung up on the legalities of certain situations, (even while that situation is unfolding before them) unaware that a piece of paper with legal jargon written on it does not stop a nigger from shooting you in the face.
