Personally I think it'd make it worse if Cool Cat had a typical furry looking fursuit, I guess it'd be different if it was a high quality costume that didn't look like a typical furry but it'd probably just make Cool Cat look even more like pervert.

Honestly, I get the feeling they intended Cool Cat to be a teenager (in theory, given his looks, and the general age range of the kid he's interacting with), but kinda screwed up along the way.

Considering how someone mentioned the height of Cool Cat being inconsistent in some of the book covers, he may as well of been intended to be a teenager but then again, there are ways for Derek to screw up with that.

We should get Cool Cat together with Mr. Thursday Lane. CC is a white dude in a fur suit so he meets whiteguys's exacting specifications for a mate, and appears to enjoy smelling farts as well.

Also, I love how Derek portrayed Butch the Bully here. He looks like he's 37 years old and is evidently a complete slob, going by his ripped jeans and stained shirt.

It's not perfect but it isn't half bad to be honest.

The only mistakes I could spot are:
""¡Yaaa!" ellos dice felizmente" should be ""¡Yaaa!" ellos gritan felizmente"
"No me gustan los castillos de arena y toma esto." should be "No me gustan los castillos de arena así que toma esto."

But how else could we tell she's of Mexican descent? By her name? Her physical appearance? No, she needs to actually be wearing a Mexican flag so the subtlety of her identity won't be lost on us.

So in the book, the sand actually gets in cool cats face because he throws it around like a spaz, not because of Butch.

To be fair, he is a cat. Don't cat's scratch around in the sand when they have to go? Cool Cat might not be able to hold it yet, plz don't make fun of him, he already has enough issues with how his body chooses to awkwardly morph every book day.

To be honest, she does look like something that tries to look human. Even then, has anyone noted how the bully looks less of a kid and more of an adult? Butch the bully looks like a wife-beater than some 10 year old playground bully.

That just makes the implications even worse than in the movie. How did Derek not realize that and ask the artist "hey, maybe instead of our bully looking like a creeper who might have a van, can we make him more like a kid?"
