I just realized how much Daddy Dereck sounded like my stepdad when he was drunk. especially in his video about copyright. all he needs is to speak a bit louder and somehow make Jesus relevant to the conversation.

Cool Cat outside the Official Material is actually cute, like Bubsy.
Probably because to give him any kind of actual emotion or character is to veer from the original design. Cool Cat is a vacuum of personality with which the average human mind is incompatible; thus, accurately replicating his soullessness require deilberate effort.

Also, guess what? It's probably going to make it, too.

No Idea if this is really an old advertisement for Cool Cat or not, but there are some Points that let this seem legit.

He likes Linda Hopkins and has paid her for at least one Song for his other creation Trolly the Trout. The sound is too butchered to say if its her or not, but it would be her style if she had to make something cheap and crappy.

No idea when this was made but I guess pre 2000. I can't find any artwork of Cool Cat with this particular style.

Look like Daddy Derek loves Cool Cat for quite some time.

How come Cool Cat is supposed to be a child and he's hanging with like 12 year old's yet he's as tall as his mother and "father"

Simple: Cool Cat is a manchild that had a mental breakdown and lost his job. He wears that cat suit because he and his mom are furries. His dad, luckily, is very understanding of the situation and decides to let him stay home and be "Cool Cat".

There is "Baby Cat" on his webpage, that very much resembles this "classic Cool Cat"
Cool Cat really is his Sonichu.

EDIT: The "cartoon" on this page is actually the same thing that Slightly Epic showed. I typed too fast for my own good.

Cool Cat would've worked better if he was a puppet. It been less creepy.

But Holy shit. The old flash cartoon and games reminds me of the shit I saw on Neopets back in the day.

As Your Movie Sucks said, the movie is funnier if you view it all as one big furry role-play

Doesn't the Jim Henson company take commissions for custom made puppets for use in tv and movies? It looks like Daddy Derek has enough cash to burn on a fursuit (or two, it's not clear is mommy cat is a seperate suit) and decent cameras so couldn't he toss some money towards making a less stupid Cool Cat, except in puppet form he'd have to hire a puppeteer

I think Momma Cat is the same fursuit, to be honest. I think he'd only buy one mascot costume and use that for Momma Cat too, since she only really shows up in the movie.

As for a Cool Cat puppet.. I admit, it would have been less wierd, esspecially with him constantly loving kids so much.

While at it here is the link to his press release kit.

Just a treasure trove of pure narcissism and bad bad design.

Hold up...

He drives, too. The movie really does fall comically flat on its face both in being relatable to children and teaching them consistent/unobjectionable life lessons, one thing I will say it has going for it though is that it doesnt try to shove any sort of religious narrative in, even though some of his other "adult" work makes it clear that Savage is pretty religious.

Makes you wonder if Derek had intended Cool Cat as an adult originally, but changed it lest he get accusations of pedophilia from parents.

Not like that would change much of anything, considering the final product and all.

Apparently, from what I can find on the Net, Derek Savage created Cool Cat when he was a kid, as his imaginary friend.

Make of that what you will.

Wouldn't they be pretty pricy? Also you wouldn't just need to buy the suit, but the intellectual property rights to use it in movies and such.
