Don't know if anyone's posted the official movie poster for the new film yet:

Gun-Self-Defense-3.gif

Apparently the full title is, "Gun Defense For Women and For Men Too". Catchy.

On a side note, what differences would there be for teaching women gun defense as opposed to men? Does their vaginas somehow make it harder to operate a gun?

Ah, I'm glad to see the world is finally recognizing that Tony Award winners are the best judges of self-defense techniques.

That looks just as cheap as Cool Cat. That's a bad thing, right?

Funny enough, the one part of that entire poster that catches my eye is the poor photoshop.

This immediatly made me think of the "Derek Zoolander Institute for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Want to Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too"

Is this some sort of Christmas special? The font is all Christmas-colored.

In fairness, there are lots of other "gun safety for women" products out there. I guess the idea is that some women might be less intimidated/uncomfortable in a for-women setting. It's maybe a bit silly, but not a terrible marketing idea on his part.

Not trying to generalize, but there's also a significant overlap between guns-guns-all-the-guns people and the people who think women are at sea outside the kitchen and maternity ward.

Then again, the all-the-guns people probably aren't buying any safety videos. There's Savage's confusing politics at work again.

I think that the idea is that most women will not be able to physically fight off an attacker or something. Probably Daddy Derek thinks this makes him a crusader for womens rights

Derek is like if Zoolander had been a porn star instead of a model and then got fat and did too many drugs.

Nice muzzle discipline.

Sounds like he realized that he can market this to men AFTER he had already 'designed' the title and threw that last bit in as an afterthought.

He sure quotes Linda Hopkins a lot for reviews, and she sang the theme songs for Cool Cat and Trolly the Trout. Given that Derek seems to know a lot of celebrities, it wouldn't be surprising if he was friends with her, but part of me wonders if he has her tied up in his basement or something.

Well, not for us.

Okay, the women on the poster look like they been photoshopped in, he must have hired the same photoshoppers from China to make the poster

This kind of dawned on me. There was also a Cool Cat, spelled as "Kool Kat" that is part of the T&C Surf Designs merchandise. Expect it was a cat wearing a tuxedo and who could surf. Possibly light years cooler than Derek's cat.

I noticed, pardon if I am late; Derek removed his video about "Copyright".

He also promised a part two, which never happened due to the immediate, overwhelming negative reaction. He disabled likes/dislikes, and monitored the comments so only the positive ones would be shown (and they're obviously sarcastic. They're things like, "Cool Cat is a cinematic masterpiece!"/ "I love all kids, too!", etc.).
