I love how they didn't bother to give Cool Cat eyelids when he had nightmares, but thought they were necessary when Butch kicked down his sandcastle.

This is because this "movie" isn't a movie, it is a bunch of previously released short films stitched together into one, incoherent story.

The eyebrows make up the only expressions that Cool Cat has.
I like how it's used before Butch even comes back to bully Cool Cat.

"Fuck sandcastles!!"

His expression here is making me laugh my ass off. The ANGRY EYEBROWS make him look like he's planning on murdering Butch or something.

And yeah, @ASoulMan, YMS brought that up in his review. Having him rock back in forth in his closet with his eyes wide open while suffering from a nightmare (which YMS hilariously refers to as his "spirit journey") makes it seem like he just ingested a ton of LSD and is having a bad trip. How fucking hard would it be to slap on a few pieces of fabric to function as eyelids?

He made that claim as a comment:

In the "Gun-Self Defense for Women film" video.

Now I can't wait to see the train wreck of a film it's going to be when it's finished.

I'm actually way more curious about who that producer is. It's obviously not someone who believes in Derek's vision and his talent as a filmmaker, because who the hell would? Is it someone who loves Cool Cat as ironically as we do?

I'm guessing so. Derek said that his self-defense video caught the eye of the producer after "all the recent attention," meaning the IHE drama, which introduced Cool Cat to a much wider audience via the Streisand effect.

Quite simply some smark in the business saw dollar signs, knowing that people will buy it just to see how bad it is. He'll probaly give Derek free range as long as he can stick to a budget and deadlines, and let this trainwreck sort itself out.

For a movie that claims to be "better than Barney the Dinosaur", why the hell does the Cool Cat suit look like absolute crap in regards to function compared to the average Barney costume from like 20 years ago?

I'm gonna venture saying that there's no producer.

Derek filmed GSDfW on his own (on a budget of $500) and tried to use Indiegogo to profit $9,500. When that failed he came up with the tale of "a magical producer just appeared and financed the movie" in a typical Derek Savage maneuver to save face.

All the recent attention caught the eye of a producer
"Hey, this man made a children's movie that became the laughingstock of the Internet. Then he dug himself deeper into the shame-hole by pretending to be a law firm and spreading copyright misinformation in a condescending tone. I want to finance all his films!"
Edited for grammar.

So, has it ever been established how old Cool Cat is? He's six feet tall, has an adult's voice, and his dad is like 50-60... Yet he's running for school president. Is this just a Michael Jackson thing?

Mhm I wonder then if he will throw a shit fit over critics on the movie?
Like, actual critics, or the anti-gun crowd?

Market-wise, it's probably not a good time to release an unironic movie about anything gun-related unless you can take the heat.

And as we've seen, Savage can't even take someone twiddling the thermostat.

I was thinking actual critics,I agree since he cannot take criticism form people that know what makes a bad movie,I don't think it will go over so well.

I'd say both, it's clear Derek has no idea how good movies are made... Or how guns and gun safety works. I can't see it going over so well.

Again, I'm under the impression that the Gun Safety movie is already produced, "edited" and ready to ship. Derek is holding out so "the Internet forgets about the Cool Cat fiasco and this movie can reach it's intended audience of rich women with kids."

One of the many things Derek doesn't understand: the Internet never forgets. Every YouTube snarky reviewer will jump immediately on it to make rape jokes and mass-shooting skits.
