It's funny, after all the poking and prodding the thing that got him to actually block me both on twitter and youtube was asking for evidence of any of his claims. So they're not even admitting that they refuse, they're just hiding.

The most interesting fact about Bewildered Ape is that he managed to create a character who's vehicle he could have used to satire almost any social situation or current event. Instead, he choose to use it to attack others who he may have desired to be his "friends" or were more popular by viewing statistics.
I find it strange that both Laughing Witch and Jenny continue to believe he's brilliant, when he seems to be indirectly responsible for both of their current perceived or actual real-life hardships.
I'm sure, in his smug self-assured mind, he thought he was Teflon. It's amusing how he (and for that matter, the rest of them) thinks that people discussing their antics here is some sort of personal harassment.

Ok, I might be the dissenting voice here, but I think there is a lot of context to Bewildered Ape's actions that is lost on a lot of people here.
From the first day I came across this guy it became obvious to me that he was using his character to learn behaviour from other people and use it back on them. All of his videos use exaggerated satire to poke fun at his targets but people are quick to take offence at what he does without considering what he is responding to. Take, for example, his admittedly pretty low blow attacking Thunderf00t for using his father's terminal illness to milk more Patreon money. This is a direct response to Thunderf00t's claims that Anita Sarkeesian milks death threats for the same reason. He uses his exact same argument back at him.
There's also these claims that Bewildered Ape threatened Karen Straughan. Well, he did and he didn't. He said something to the effect that he would "come around and do all the same things to (Karen) that Thunderf00t's fans were going to do to Anita." If that's taken as a threat then the person is also acknowledging that Thunderf00t fans are also giving Anita Sarkeesian whatever threats have been perceived by that statement, which in this case were that he was going to rape and kill her.
The letter that he wrote to Thunderf00t's employer was a cunt act, but nobody really objected to the actual content of the letter and the argument he makes in it. Thunderf00t does say some pretty stupid stuff from time to time, and Bewildered Ape was calling him out on it in the academic arena because that's the seat of authority that Thunderf00t claims. The content of his letter was up since January 2015 and everybody knew what was in it and nobody really responded to his argument. It was the content of Laughing Witch's letter that really outraged everyone.
I could go on with more examples, but I do think Bewildered Ape is smarter than people here give him credit.

I don't think you're wrong about a lot of what you said. But I do have some issues. From what we've seen when he breaks character he really does think that thunderf00t has a lot of influence on the harassment received by Anita Sarkeesian. So while there is a chance that he's using that statement as a sort of bait, there's also a fair amount of reason to think that he's using this as a legitimate threat. As for his letter, there was indeed objection to its contents. While thunderf00t certainly says some questionable things from time to time *cough*bad sex*cough* Ape had to do some heavy "interpretation" to make the claims he did. The only leg he really had to stand on there was in thunderf00t getting a specific fact wrong, but then he tried to extrapolate that into a crime. And that gets to the real issue I have with BA. He's not as stupid as the others, but to compensate for that he's a colossal piece of shit who in his attempts to point out hypocrisy ends up being far more of a hypocrite than whoever he's talking to at the time.

Kind of like how Jenny's satire (and in many cases BA's as well) is lost on pretty much all but the inner circle until they get called out for being cunts and decide to use it as a shield to refuse to answer for their actions. There is a difference between satire and backpeddling when called out for being a cunt.
And anyone who has watched his videos for any length of time have seen that he has been doing is piggybacking on the success of other people by seeing that drama sells and if one calls attention to someone who is "big" in the YouTube world, that will get them views and invariably notoriety and possibly money. The videos feel like nothing but a copy/paste style of other people attacking the same people he attacks.
He didn't start claiming them to be satire until recently when he started getting called to terms on his comments and actions. He originally states his channel is to make observations and to comment on things around him. No where does he start talking about satire until recently.
Edit: Since we can't tell when he change his channel info, we shall go with March as when he began claiming to be doing satire as per information provided by Booyah.

I have read the letters, watched the videos, and fail to see actual proof outside of Ray Comfort's super cut up video that supports the claims in the video.
Because mostly people assumed either he was joking around, or that the people had received the letter and just tossed it in the round file.
I believe it was more the bragging that upset people or got people's attention. The fact that a lot of it started with people that didn't have anything to do with either group of people also should be noted on that.
Doesn't matter how smart he is, he's acting like a cunt, back peddling faster than a circus act. You can't act like a piece of shit and not expect to be called out on it. Crying "satire" after the fact doesn't excuse the fact if no one can see the satire. The boy is a lolcow who likes to treat people like shit but hates it when it gets flung back at him. No there's no context that makes Cyrus Kiss' behaviour justifiable or even minimally reasonable.
"[E]xaggerated satire" is distinct from fabrication and defamation of which he is habitually guilty. Look at his recent false claims that @Ausyar and Sargon_of_Akkad stated they had Aspergers Syndrome. Satire is based on what actually is, something that exists is satirized. There is no evidence that Thunderf00t is a National Socialist or that he supported any of the actions of the Third Reich. There isn't any evidence that Thunderf00t has any authoritarian or antisemitic views. What is it that was being satirized?
Anita Sarkeesian's fame and fortune all derive from her profession as a victim. Thunderf00t's popularity is based on his science, scepticism and anti-identity politics videos. Victimhood has played no part in Thunderf00t's career. Since he has patrons he is obligated to tell them why his video production may be delayed and that he did by communicating his father's illness and subsequent death. Thunderf00t's earnings did not benefit from these announcements and they were not flagging and in need of a boost. For there to be any parallel between Thunderf00t and Sarkeesian, Thunderf00t would have had to be a YT nobody and after his father's illness and death he gained 400K+ subscribers. That didn't happen.
Thunderf00t is neither morally nor legally responsible for the behaviour of his subscribers and non-subscribing fans. It is possible that some person that watched and liked a Thunderf00t video also threatened to rape Sarkeesian. So what? How is Thunderf00t responsible for this person? The idea Thunderf00t should be--if he somehow could be--policing the online behaviour of anyone that views his videos is absurd.

It takes an exceptional person 15 years to earn an MA in history. Cyrus must have repeated almost every unit he enrolled in. History isn't an intellectually demanding subject and he failed so often that a ~6 year course of study took him 15 years. That is exceptional.
