I coughed one of these up once. It was the most satisfying thing to squish it between my fingers. It smelled like bad breath. I wish I could squash this one and smell it.

Well, they are a source of bad breath, since it's essentially leftover food that gets deposited in your mouth in some small pocket. Afaik, it's made of calcium that can't be broken down by your saliva.

They stopped happening to me when I stopped drinking coffee. I think there’s something about the warm, processed dairy in creamer that causes them.
