Men and women have different bone structures with women having a deeper inward bend. Drawings are allowed to exaggerate on this natural phenomenon, and anything else, because they're fiction in the first place.

Funny how you mention Andrew Dobson/Tom Preston (who is among the sole internet lolcows I know) because you remind me a lot of him for:
-spouting nothing but shitty and uninformed takes
-writing self-ironic comments in failed attempts to be funny and especially when people called out his bullshit
-believing he was an authority on the related topic(s), even going as far as dictating how artists should draw
-being extremely inconsiderate of others due of his ego-centrism and autism
Which were the primary reasons why he was despised and mocked so much
Why would an American try to censor a pose that can only be performed by a biological woman?

At least it's refreshing enough to see this artist/author won't change his works because of pressure attempts from an authoritarian localizer and the twitter mob.
Wish this was the case more often though
Most authors/illustrators don't even appear on twitter in any professional capacity to begin with. They usually ignore it and just have the publisher's marketing team tweet about a book. The ones who post on twitter are already a minority.

Twitter is literally something that's been propped up by a falsehoods from the get-go. Nothing on there that happens has mattered.

You need to learn to shut up for good instead of always trying to have the last word because you refuse the idea to be ever wrong, in spite you engage in topics you know nothing about.

There are plenty more so I went with just 20 examples to illustrate the case well enough that Twitter is a relevant platform for japanese artists.

And it doesn't matter if the artists are full-time paid professionals or just talented hobbyists drawing in their free time, artistic & creative freedom should never be trampled by political-correctness and whatever faux-prudish/progressive bullshit. Whether it happens directly on Twitter or elsewhere. That's a matter of principle I will stick for as long as I live.

You're really taking the internet way too seriously.

Twitter(and well lets be fair social media at large) has always been a cesspit and never something intended for high minded serious discussion. It's no different then having 4chan or 2chan act as a containment zone for their own set of retards. The only difference with social media is that they have better advertising packages for companies because they were sold on the idea that the large userbase means millions of eyes on their product advertisements.

I mean how could you ever treat social media with a level of seriousness when the facade was already ripped off and the vast amount of accounts were fucking bots? Twitter can be easily fucking ignored, it's not hard to do. The internet is not real life, if people treat the internet like real life and feel they need to consider the opinions of social media , welp then they fell for the fucking ruse and that's on them.

Problem is the retards on Twitter are taken very seriously and sponsored by major corporations that in turn have considerable, tangible effects on everything.

I pay my bills on the internet in real life with real money, people get fired in real life because of twitter and so on. You can try to debunk that if you want. And aren't you the one deathly afraid of being super-doxed if even an inch of your bookshelf can be seen? You seem to treat posting on this forum very seriously. The internet is not real man, just post your game collection.

I know you're clueless about a lot of things, but the reality is that it's no easy task to find a stable job position as an artist (either in the field of comics, videogames, etc) and having/expanding a network is very important. It doesn't need to be said when someone starts at the bottom of that ladder especially.

Hence why a social media account such as Twitter is generally a good way to get one-self known through artworks (or for maintaining said reputation as an active person), which is useful either in case of self-publishing (which is basically the massively huge doujin market in Japan) or obtain eventual work contracts.

Art gallery websites such as Pixiv or Artstation are technically social media too in the sense it's about interacting and establishing connections with other users while posting artworks.

That's what Linkedin is for, not twitter.

You compartmentalize your online presence you don't shove it all in one place.

Like really anyone can comment on your work that you upload to twitter that's intended on how the platform is supposed to work. You can't have a thin skin on there because someone made a comment, because it's like wading through a sewer and expecting to not step in some shit. Not only that but anything said on social media cannot be taken at face value (outside of wario64).

It seems that this was done by the editors at Kotaku against Ian Walker's will. Over on Twitter, he's retweeting some stuff he said last month to whine about the editors not playing defense for him now.

Looking at his tweets back then, I can't figure out what set him off, but here's a funny bit of him wallowing the day prior.

These aren't wrong, very true. However your later point.

You keep saying that. I'll just give some reasons like Smaug said.
1) Yet your burgerlands, especially big techs and any politicians rely on it so much, you know like Trump because "inciting violence" or "bringing destructive motivation to society" something like that.

2) How "Weeb wars" becomes its own big forum.
3) Call me "rent free" or whatever. Remember Alec Holokawa committing suicide because of Zoe Quinn?
4) FGC related:
4a. A Korean pro fighting game player, Infiltration, gets banned from all competitive scene. Just because the ones behind the scene still believe him a "wife beater", even though it has been proven otherwise.

4b. Skullgirls creator, Mike Z, got accused/cancelled by AyuBunny (streamer/cosplayer) for being "disrespectful". Even though, Mike Z is actually diagnosed with autism and brings out proof (200 pages+, have fun reading it, I couldn't even bother).

Funnily, in an unrelated drama, streaming and cosplaying drama. Other streamers (Layna Lazar, PeachJars, JennaLynnMeowri) call out AyuBunny being hard to work with and emotional abusing them. Dragging along AdmiralBahroo to defend milady Ayu, but another streamer, Sam Thorne (Strippin) has receipt of Bahroo being biased and accusing Layna being liar.

Edited: because press accidentally press "Send".
5) Jay "Sinatra" Won, an ex-pro Overwatch player then switching to Valorant, being accused by his ex Cle0h for sexual assault . He was suspended by Riot for "failing to fully cooperate the investigation. Only for a year later, his ex drops police investigation because "mental health", so Jay Won manages to get back into streaming at least and has a new girlfriend.

Twitter or social media aren't real life. But please, tell me, if they aren't one of the most powerful tool being used by anyone with higher status position to impose "rule" on lesser ones, as long as it serves current days "moral standard"/social justice.

If you don't have any kind evidence, loads of money and some popularity. Considering saying goodbye to your whole life because someone says you are "worse than Hitler" or something.

Edit 2: I forgot about this one.
Since you love to say anyone on twitter is retarded. I hope you still remember the Elden Ring UI being complained by Ubisoft and Sony/Horizon devs.

With your logic, I guess that they are retarded, so they have to design quest and game UI for retards too.

The one other notable thing about that first tweet, is that the said dev was previously at DICE, and worked on Battlefield 2042. So he's also implying that BF2042 somehow has a better UX than Elden Ring...

He's a perfect example of a Current Year™ NPC sperging out over being fact-checked/told to behave himself. The faggot probably wishes he was a woman or some minority that could claim some extra layer of oppression but alas has to just go fishing for asspats from communists while writing for fucking Kotaku about blacks in street fighter, unbelievable.

"alternative to landing the rare full-time job in this field is terrifying uncertainty" almost like writing about video games (badly) full-time and getting paid way more than you should is quite the privileged position that you should just be happy for rather than acting like a baby when your editors actually do their job. Nothing's stopping you from freelancing you dumb cunt, quit and see how many stories vice or motherboard will buy about whatever latest controversy twitter autists drum up in between their estrogen injections.

Has anyone heard of Capcom enforcing "sensitivity training" on employees?

In a recent video OtakuDaiKun he claims Capcom has "sensitivity training" but I can't find any info about this (the presentation not counting for this), but not sure how true this is.

Ian Walker thinks he’s fighting against the game journalism establishment media by acting like the real hero of policing other people’s un-“woke” opinions because you don’t do basic research on a fighting game series that’d been more famous before you were even brought up in existence.

More deaths in the gaming world regarding the old guard:

Yukawa also lent his likeness in the famous demo versions of video games like Shenmue and Sonic Adventure

It was reported that he passed away a year ago since his family wanted to keep his death records private, but as far as being in this Culture Wars Thread, he was just one of the known managing game directors to offer his likeness in games like this when no one else seemed to do it much, or attempted to want to do it.

The guy was a real pure example of being an Easter egg before much would be explored about the term as a whole in future years of gaming. Either way, Yukawa seemed like a fun, stand-up guy.
