I know this is less meme-y than some responses but I actually cringed the hardest that I can remember when I realized that Disco Elysium, a game I was otherwise enjoying for the hard CRPG elements, atmosphere and art direction, was lecturing me about having the wrong politics... even though it game me the option to do so. How pretentious does a creator have to be to patronize their literal patrons with legitimate choices and then tell them they're committing wrongthink for a choice the creator provided them--over something like a political or social opinion? It's not like I'm nuking fucking Megaton here, Christ.

This one is objectively cringe.
This one always pissed me off because Roach and Ghost have tons of time to shoot Shepherd, but they just don't because there has to be a sequel.

Edit: Obligatory mention of every cutscene in a Sonic game from Colors onward, except maybe the one with the two Eggmen at the end of Generations.

I have a few.

- The flossing skeleton in the Spyro remake. The camera even holds on him for a bit so you have to watch him do it at least once.

- Every attempt at being serious in FFXIII. With the exception of Sazh, the dialogue and acting are all delivered with the same quality as a bad anime.

- All of the jokes in the Ratchet & Clank 2016 game. I don’t think there’s a single one that lands.

The acting in the first Resident Evil is so bad it's legendary. I think it must have been on purpose. Yes, when video games first became capable of having voice acting it took developers a surprising long time to realise they should hire actual actors to voice characters instead of giving it to whichever schmuck in the office who had time to spare, but it's hilariously bad. Compare it to the first Silent Hill, which is just bog standard mediocre:

I like to say "WHAT A MANSION" whenever I see something relatively impressive. Truly iconic dialogue.

The entire production of RE1 hinged on those 5 people who first stepped up to take the job, combine that with people who don't even speak english themselves and disaster strikes.
And the worst part? I would never have it any other way.

Also; remember that they ported the game on the DS? They added voice lines that needed to match the cringe in the main game.

You can't mention the original jill sandwich line and not point out that the remake somehow made it worse.

My favorite/least favorite sequence is when Wesker is showing Chris the Tyrant, and Chris starts giving moderate laughter.

Wesker: "Chris? ...Stop it! :( "
Chris: "Wesker, you're pitiful!"

Here's an interview with Barry Burton's VA, Barry Gjerde (scroll down for the original English interview). I just think this section needs to be highlighted:
Barry Buttons said:
Barry became famous for some lines that are kind of funnier than the expected, and one of the most known sentences are “you were almost a Jill sandwich”. These lines, were they improvised or they were indeed part of the script?

Barry Burton had some strange lines, indeed. No, I did not improvise those lines. Repeat: I did not make them up! I remember being surprised when I initially saw them. I did them because they were in the script. As a voice actor, I did my job. What’s more, there was no comment about these lines from the director(s). The scripts had been approved. As a voice actor, you don’t complain too much if you want to keep working. So, I did the lines and, subsequently, was severely criticized for them on the Internet.

For those that do not know, a recording session is not a democracy. It is the performance of a script that is created after long preparation and decision-making by people that the voice actors have (usually) never met. It’s all part of a big process, related to a budget, part of which will pay the actors’ and others’ wages. The voice actor is there to deliver lines written by someone else, and under the guidance of the director, who works to satisfy the client’s vision. The writers are very important, probably more so than the actors.
Not trying to stan for the actors, I just think it's only fair.

I'm playing Star Ocean 5 right now. It's been a decade since since I played the fourth game, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, so I forgot about the voice acting for Lymle in the English dub.

I had wondered if they used an actual kid for Lymle, in which case you can forgive some clunky, awkward, emotionless voice acting, but, nope, the actress would have been around 36 when they were recording the dub dialogue.
