I don't know why you guys are trying to deny this game's greatness. Gamer god Andy Warski has spoken!

It reminds me a lot of Steller Blade, where you had a milquetoast story and average characters but you have to beat the game in order to unlock permission to skip cutscenes, so you're ecentially forced to sit through boring trite
I actually really liked the NPCs, most of them are fucked up androids/cyborgs, and a post apocalypse is always intriguing in the everyday lives and happening.

But a fantasy setting needs to work extra hard to make you care about the world.

Crimson Desert? More like Black Desert! Ain't that right fellow gamerinos
black desert has niggaz though... (to make it even worse it's a nigga with green eyes)

oh, lol.

Well you cannot really trust denuvo cracks/bypass so I gave the game a go in 2h refund window. Controls are weird but not so bad as everyone says. The thing that pissed me off the most was the jogging toggle and horse riding. The dialogs are awkward as fuck. Cannot really comment on combat but seems fun enough. I enjoyed it for what it is and the world seems really big and filled with interesting things but it's not worth $70. I think waiters are going to eat good in the future when the game is at least half off and gets some patches.
I think I am going to reinstall BDO though.

Anyone playing find a particular reason to play as any of the other characters?

I unlocked the woman but kind of ignored her until now. Selecting her it just seems like she can use different weapons, but she seems only capable of doing side missoins and she doesn't share skill points with Kliff so why would I do the side missions and make Kliff potentially weaker?

So now that some kiwis have had time to play, hows the economy? Does money keep its value as you play or have you run into a scrooge mcduck situation where you have more money than god and nothing to do with it? I saw some complaints about inventory space and I saw some comments that the devs added more so whats the situation on that? Is there storage for items?

I think this is a game that its gonna be awhile(unless someone no life it) to get the full scope of the game.

From all the footage I've seen, this really feels like a fake game they'd mock-up for a TV show or something. I can't describe it any better than that.

Is it actually good?

just a single player Korean MMO

I've tried like... 2 Korean MMOs in my entire life and both of them were fucking awful. They are always full of the most obtuse fucking mechanics that most developers would have the sense to not include. Everything takes more steps than it should which I guess it what happens when you save plenty of time not writing a story that is little more than "functional". The only thing worse than playing a Korean MMO is playing one by lonesome.

Kind of. There’s a lot of menu, UI and gameplay jank which leaves story progression feeling disjointed. Lots of squandered potential and it could have been great, but as a whole I wouldn’t call it good at the moment. It’s just okay.

In games like Path of Exile there’s a level of friction that amplifies the enjoyable aspects of the game.
In Crimson Desert there’s a level of friction for no reason.

So, blast sisters, what's the game about?
I played enough (before refund) to know you're part of a faction, get wiped out, revive somehow, and go looking for survivors.
What's the "story"? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
