It looks good , but man does it seem like a borefest to actually play from the videos I've seen.
I think is the type of game where you gotta pace yourself and plan ahead what youre gonna do like:

"Today im just gonna dedicate a session to upgrade my gear so that next time i play, i can go explore x place or farther."

I feel that this game will burn people out kf jt causing them to drop and justifiably so. Personally im just enjoying all the different colliding opinions and seeing people either glaze it like its the next step in an Rpg or people just pilling on it and calling it shit.

It just seems like a BOTW like to me (I actually played BOTW though and it was fun for a few hours until you realize how soulless the world actually is) and watching Crimson Desert gave me similar feelings.

Again, the reaction to this game is strange and too fractured to be going “ma culture war”. I swear the main people always whining about both sides and the culture war can’t wait to inject it where it doesn’t even belong. The conversation around this game is way more interesting than woke/not woke.

Most of the anti-woke usuals are all over the map:

And the “wokes” are mainly journalists mad about AI. The other pronoun accounts are mixed.

It’s honestly almost as fascinating as the confusion of the game itself. The entire thing is what the fuck?
Never thought i'd say this, but this time culture war and game websites aren't to blame. Youtube game journalists (especially those given exclusives from Pearl Abyss) hyped this game up as Zelda meets Elden Ring meets Red Dead 2 when really it's just a single player Korean MMO with elements taken from those games. In the last week or so these Youtubers shifted to "if you don't like it your a retard baby who needs yellow paint" to cover their ass because this has always been a 7 out of 10 game. So I think the fighting is just between people who want to feel a false sense of superiority and people frustrated they were sold a bill of goods.

Also, still think this game is getting a ton of passes from "gamers" it wouldn't get if it had "Assassins Creed" at the start of the title.

So I went back to the precipice of truth abyss section and beat it easily this time. Being wasted was really working against me here.

Having a good time again honestly, performing wrestling moves on bad guys that blow up entire camps is quite fun. Can't wait to find the clothesline.

I saw the system to light arrows on fire, that seemed decent, but I don’t know if that’s just a lone gimmick, or there’s more.
same as the sword light shining mechanic, make of that what you will.

Why is this game rated M anyways? There's nothing even coming close to nudity nor is there any gore apart from a very small and brief bloodstain when you strike an enemy.

I guess there is that one dude who's dialogue consists of nothing but the word cunt.

The main girls look fine I was talking about the random npc peasant women.
Did you just give a straight answer to an obvious joke?

M is moderate violence, offensive language, drug use.
All these, from what I've seen, are presents in the game.

I've watched some streams out of curiosity.
People usually pick pets, do inane fetch quests or fight human opponents.
I know there's more, from trailers, but they are fee and far between.
Also, for a game with barely any story, there seem to be a lot of cutscenes for every little thing.

I started to think that maybe I should just keep going with the main quest, because it seemed like every time I tried to fuck around outside the main quest I was screwed cause my gear was too weak. (I ended up spending like three hours leveling up my gear just to take back the Quarry from the bandits)

But then I go back to the main quest, and now I'm getting fucked up by the third main quest boss even though I spent my time leveling up my shit for what I was told was a gear filter section.

IDK though, the game is getting more fun the more I play it though even if I hit a frustrating wall every 3 hours or so.

The cope is off the charts. Just look at all the anti-woketard culture war fags on YouTube the shilling for dog shit ass games is equally as bad on both sides.
Having a game that hasn't niggers in it is something nice and rare these days, so you will ignore some downsides a game may have. Of course I totally forgot that kiwifarmers love their nigger games, they can't get enough of them.

The denuvo thing didn't really work out, ~100GB game with apparently bad controls.

One of the first things I noticed when watching gameplay was black and brown NPCs everywhere.

I just find it funny the game has a fast forward button in cutscenes. All the zoomies who watch videos on 2x speed have been finally heard.
Out of everything the game's been criticized for as a passive viewer this one to me is the most egregious issue the game has. It reminds me a lot of Steller Blade, where you had a milquetoast story and average characters but you have to beat the game in order to unlock permission to skip cutscenes, so you're ecentially forced to sit through boring trite just to progress the story and nowhere is that more apperant than with CD and the devs secrecy with the story is the cherry o top that makes the hype age badly. Maybe that's where most of the "It gets good after (x) hours" bros time went into for them to really appreaciate the game. :hah:

Oddly enough, both these K-games share similarities between each other in terms of their mechanics and ludonarrative dissonance:
Flashy combat with a restrictive skill set that requires meter building to pull off certain moves (becasue the devs don't know how to balance an action game properly) that your character could otherwise know how to do themselves, but requires grinding out a bog standard skill tree to unlock something as basic as clotheslining to somehow be able to magically learn how to Izuna Drop a bitch.

Also both were hyped up beyond belief and turned out to be just solid mediocrety that fans/shills defend with their lives, gaslighting anyone who goes againts the grain. This goes into a greater point about Koreaboos and culture war bullshit, but I digress with my sperging.
It's just crazy to me recently looking into this game that was barely talked about on /v/, to suddenly being overly hyped/shilled/shitposted as the 2nd coming of Christ close to release and of course it didn't meet those absurdly high expectations, yet somehow it gets a standing ovation for not being woke trash despite its glarling flaws that's turing people off from the game (clunk, tediousness, Denuvo, etc. etc.).
Just seeing that post with the article about some fag comparring it to OoT threw me for a loop I audibly scoffed like an anime villain that I knew sounded like bullshit and of course, it turned out to be nowhere near close to that level of praise. "Savor it" my ass.
