?I found it! Or rather I found another article that I had also read but it wasn't what I was thinking of.
It was David Wong that wrote that, and he was being completely disingenuous. He was literally posting about Trump voters being Nazis before and after the election, before and after he wrote that article.Shortly after the election they published an article about how radlibs in general had no idea what happened because they're so smug and out of touch that they didn't understand why sane people don't trust the democrats
But having searched for Wong's articles I'm now reading "16 ways men are trained to hate women (you won't believe how #9 mansplains you!)" and wondering how they were smug enough to not see this coming.
They don't romance women. They swoop in after a breakup between a woman and a real guy and assure her they're not like those other, predatory guys. But seriously what's with these guys not realizing women tend to like romances? I always felt like Leia was the one being rewarded with Han anyway.
In their experience women don't like romance, since they're always saying no to guys like him.But seriously what's with these guys not realizing women tend to like romances? I always felt like Leia was the one being rewarded with Han anyway.
or gamers don't like video gamesSo I guess now they're assuming readers don't like reading, either.
“We are disappointed by the subpar financial performance at Cracked and the resulting impairment and goodwill write-down. But we are moving quickly to right size the business’s expense structure, curtail investment and bring it to profitability for 2018.
unpaid internships ARE pretty shitty.. but uh.. maybe get into a field that isn't so overstuffed with bright fresh faces?I remember an article bitching about unpaid internships in journalism, both print and video, and how the interns needed to band together and insist on being paid. Except there were so many people trying to get into the field that if anyone bitched they were fired immediately and the next sucker was hired. The person writing was complaining about how this was unfair and thereottabealaw, etc. etc. etc.
It was one of the best unintentional humor articles I’ve ever read.
From the company that bought Cracked.

right size
I'd suggest they just cut their losses and shut the site down. Between the liberal direction and lack of staff, they'll never rebound profit-wise.From the company that bought Cracked.

It’s the “nice” way of saying layoffs.???????
This whole scenario reminds me of a very condescending article they wrote many years back about how sorry they felt for Mad magazine (the humor magazine they ripped off decades ago) because they hadn't gone digital nor were they devoting their entire brand to clickbait lists for hipster liberals.

Wait, there was a period of time where Cracked the magazine wasn't shit?Cracked was never the same after John Severin left. Mostly because it really wasn't the same Cracked, the website had only the barest connections to the magazine.
"But during the ’60s and ’70s, Severin seemed to be everywhere, especially as the artist-in-residence at Cracked, where he did almost all of the covers and usually several features each issue, producing additional Cracked covers for paperback reprints. After being one of the founding artists for Mad, he began working for the Mad imitation Cracked in the late ’50s and stayed there for nearly 40 years, because he was paid as well as the Mad contributors and was allowed to contribute several features in every issue. In addition to the mountain of work he produced for Cracked, he was simultaneously working for Marvel, Warren and DC. Severin was the consummate professional who editors and art directors knew could draw anything, from a Roman legionary to Cracked mascot Sylvester P. Smythe, and everything in between. Like fellow EC colleagues Jack Davis and Frank Frazetta, Severin could crank out great humor comics with the same facility he drew war, Western and historical tales. Severin was nothing if not versatile, though his style was always instantly recognizable and remarkably consistent in its quality. Even to the last, it didn’t seem that Severin had dropped a line."
I used to read Cracked often. The tipping point for me was when they started hosting articles written by extremely questionable people (the Zoe Quinn and Brianna Wu articles). As much as I enjoyed reading it before that point, I'm now not sad to see it sink.
Oh, god. I really, really hope someone tweeted that to them.Making some White CIS Males unemployed seems Progressive .
I used to read /v/ enough to know this is actually trueor gamers don't like video games
