Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Then you have wonder woman who has nothing besides telling you that she, a black woman, is Wonder Woman. Lol. Lmao even

I guess she couldn't read the cue cards.

As an aside, I love how Wonder Woman seems to be the most mishandled capeshit property to ever exist. They don't know if they want her to be black, woman representation/symbol or if they just want her to be female Superman or what.

I mean her creator was a dude in a poly love cult of his own creation called the Love Unit and was into bondage, which is why she started off being tied up all the time and whipping people. Trying to figure out where to go from there once they realized why she was written the way she was might be confusing.

She's got the same problem as Thor where she's a superhero who has inspiration from mythology, so you get people arguing if Cheetah or Ares is her archenemy.

On top of that, you get writers that decide to completely reboot her. The most famous instance of that was during her "Agent Diana Prince" era where they tried to make her an Emma Peel knockoff by taking away her powers and making her a secret agent that used martial arts. And then there's Azzarello's run that completely redid her backstory and threw out all of her supporting cast and rogue's gallery.

The stanley cup stuff has to be the most blackpilling consoomer object-of-desire recently. With chunko pops, they're atleast somewhat diverse and connected to something culturally, same with pokemon cards. These are just red cups.
Even at the height of the pokemon craze during covid I don't think I saw people jumping over starbucks counters, beating an employee, then trying to run out the store with an entire box while being tackles by bystanders. This is some peak Black Friday era shenanigans over just one item, before BF became boring.

Dad films his kid buying expensive sports cards, comments roast them.
Part of me wants to think this was staged for clout.

The retro video game store around where I live recently came into possession of a copy of The Flintstones for NES. It's a very rare game worth a lot of money. They took a photo of it and posted it to Facebook to announce they had the game. A few days later they posted another photo, this time of some literal retard holding the game and smiling announcing the game had been sold. The dude paid $1,199 for it. Just the cartridge. I get the same vibe from this video.

Was it even a good game or do people only want it because there's only 5 in existence?

I wasn't asked, but the latter. I don't think any sane person, who wants to play a videogame, would pay more than $50 for one. An NES one especially.

As for the game itself, I like that it has a ledge hang, and fred's leg and duck movement; but I have no idea how it plays.

At this point they should just get the logo seared onto their ass if they love brands that damn much.

Does anyone actually give a shit about Yeti Stanlely cups? All I see online are negative reactions to the hype. All of it feels very manufactured. I refuse to belive consoomers are this broken.

Also, apologies for the wrong quote. I am gay and retarded.

Yes they do. At my job no fewer than 5 women (Out of maybe 25) are Stanley cup people. They each must own at least 3 of them (I know one of them owns 15) and talk about wanting the new ones all the time. It's a status symbol, they want them seen on the break table and to be seen carrying them around.

Very similar to the men who care so much about their shoes and don't lace them and leave the tags on to maintain their value, imo.

The rabid people are rarer than the more casual consoomer who simply goes "oh! Haha new color cup. I will buy it to show off at work/snapchat!" Even though they already own 5.

They'll be flooding thift stores and landfills in a few years.

See, to me, the reason to buy an expensive item is that I don't want lots of them. I want one of them which will last for years (with repairs, if it's that kind of item).

The hype is manufactured but that doesn't mean it's not real. As you can see from the videos, women are actually getting into fistfights over these things. A few are committing strong arm robbery to steal entire cases of the cups to resell. People compare it to beanie babies (some toy from the 90s?? idk) and maybe it's similar but I think social media makes people behave even worse.

I got a Stanley cup for Christmas and it's not even very good. My whatever-brand thing from Walmart keeps my water colder for way longer.

I had no idea the Stanley cup thing was even happening, that's so absurd it's hilarious. I can't even be blackpilled because it is too retarded. Peak Consoomer Behavior. When did this start?
