There was that guy who won the Booker with a whole book written in phonetic Glaswegian dialogue.

Title and author, plox? This needs to be on my bookshelf, pronto.

Relax, fellas, I'm not going to be working on a second draft of Eva anytime soon. Now that my semester has officially ended, my top priority is finishing some shorts and Alphaboy's first draft. I have toyed around with the idea of doing another story with an adoptee protagonist that would be darker, but I figured that two's a crowd, so one is enough. Speaking of the Boy of Tomorrow (my nickname for him), have I ever described Sean Gillespie's appearance? He's tall for a fourteen year old. He's slender, but not scrawny at all, with large, piercing blue eyes, and short dark hair. In terms of physique, I was inspired by Bruce Lee. I'm having a serious internal debate about whether to give him an accent, a la Van Damme or Schwarzenegger. Maybe a Stallone slur.

@Connor, stop. You are not Stephen King. Write Alphaboy first, and I mean the entire thing, start to finish, draft and revisions. Then you will have earned the right to discuss your book's merits, flaws, and inspirations and be taken seriously for it. But as of now, you have not yet earned that right. Not even close.

TL;DR - Stop writing about writing and start actually writing.

Sorry if I'm late but I'm pretty sure the reason @Connor doesn't like alcohol is because of the whole faux childlike persona he tries to cultivate. Drinking alcohol is something scary that adults do like getting jobs and taking responsibility for things.

That kinda expands what I said - It's to maintain an image or a persona.

Wait a minute let's pause for a moment here.

I, for some reason, have this weird feeling that you've never actually gotten past the first few chapters of RE. Why do you say this?

I have toyed around with the idea of doing another story with an adoptee protagonist that would be darker, but I figured that two's a crowd, so one is enough.

Another thing, I know everyone gave you a bunch of shit for your most recent sperg on adoption, but I personally think the fact that there was so much time in between this and your most recent last sperg on it had a very large time gap. I get that it's hard to quit cold turkey.

I mean, I do wonder why it happened though. I wager you were looking at your movie shelf and saw Juno and, well, one thing led to another. At the same time, your autism has prevented you from actually ever viewing the movie in spite of your rage against it that existed longer than most marriages. So why don't you actually watch it? See how they actually portray adoption and write a review of the movie. Then your criticism will at least be relatively justified.

Probably because I said this:
So why are you working on another draft of Eva, @Connor? I thought you were going to shelve it indefinitely while you worked on Alphaboy and your sequel to Juno?
And because he probably forgot he said this one page earlier.
For those of you that have Redesigning Eva on the brain, I'm working on a thorough outline for the second draft. I using Notepad to gather research on criminal profiling, gene therapy, etc. and further develop the characters.

Editing in for posterity: Connor putting his other writing ideas aside for Alphaboy.
First, I'll work on the first draft of Alphaboy, as well as some short stories.
Connor forsaking Alphaboy to sperg-write about Juno.
Hey guys,

My semester is drawing to a close, and the final is next week. After that, I'll see if I can get back to writing, mainly short stories. I'm putting Alphaboy on hold, because a fascinating idea for a novel came to mind lately. I've been brainstorming.

Now that the semester is behind me, I can work on Alphaboy and some shorts. Speaking of Alphaboy, found a song that fits the story.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=3BE0D9geu2oDon't fuck with Sean Gillespie or his adoptive parents.

I think I found one that fits a bit better. Your's needed more cape mentions.
