Connor you've made it clear you hate adoption for a long time now. This isn't anything new. You seem to have this inexplicably negative predisposition towards it. Why? As others have pointed out, some people for whatever reasons are incapable of having children. Whether they be gay/lesbian couples, people who are infertile and thus unable to have children, or maybe they just want to love and take care of a child who was abandoned by their real parents.

The fact that you do not see an exception to your belief that "Adoption is all bad for reasons because I say so!" means you probably had some kind of negative experience during your childhood that made you feel that adoption is an exclusively negative experience for the child and involves some kind of ulterior motive with the adoptive parents. If you want to talk about that experience, I'll lend an ear.

LITTLE-KNOWN FACT: I was here in the first few pages of the thread and I made some posts on his adoption fixation and the reasons he's against it. I do remember he wrote on WP a few times that he suspects he's adopted and being intensely worried about it. Spergy speculating (spergulating?), Connor feels out of place in his family for angsty teen reasons, and that led him to fantasize about him discovering he's actually adopted and going Gene Hunting and finding his Real Parents and that fixing all his troubles and anxieties. So now on some level he blames his unhappiness on adoption and his parents having estranged him from his "real family", although it doesn't make much sense on the surface.

On another note, this is nitpicking but I think "real parents" is bad wording for one's biological parents. Bio parents are not your real parents, more like sperm and egg donors. The people who teach their child how to ride a bike, send them off to school, spend a huge portion of their time caring for the kid's welfare, instill the child with their values, and overall are their sole caretakers are much more parents than the couple who happened to conceive and give birth to a child that they couldn't or didn't want to take care of. I suppose in countries with open adoption biological parents play a role, but they still aren't as involved in the child's development as the adoptive parents.

That makes sense. He talks about his parents being monsters (spoiler alert: they're not) and him believing they're not his real parents would explain why he thinks adoptive parents don't love their children. Doubly so if they also get his disability check. I'm just assuming Connor gets a :tugboat:.

Anyway, @Connor don't go down this path again. I don't care if you don't keep up with your writing or schoolwork, that's on you, but don't slander your parents or adoptive parents.

"Fucky you, mom and dad! I bet you're not my real parents anyway! My real parents would be nicer than you! I bet they're the king and queen of a far away land, and I was kidnapped from them when I was a baby, and as soon as they find me they're gonna take me home and make me the prince of all the kingdom, and I'll have servants and ponies and never have to do homework and eat ice cream for dinner every day! You'll see! You'll see what happens when my real parents come!"

Actually, @Connor, I know that feel. I've felt that exact same way before.

...when I was six years old.

I was under the impression that Connor's adoption sperging was for attention seeking, but now I know that it's also pretty much because he can't stand his parents trying to instill some responsibility into him. Good job getting people to expose your bullshit again, manbabby. :^)

Darn. I was thinking it was the opposite. Thought that maybe Connor was secretly jealous of adopted kids because their parents wanted them and actually went out of their way to get them rather than just crapping one out whether they meant to or not, the way Connors folks did.

I like the other way though. Makes a bit more sense....or at least as much sense is possible when it comes to our little lad.

Just realized that despite being an absolute trainwreck of a human being Chris Chan has

- Obtained a college degree
-Can drive
-Is allowed to manage his own finances

All of these things Connor has failed to achieve at the age of 22. If he doesn't get his shit together he's going to end up as a less functional adult than the prince of autism himself. This should scare the absolute shit out of Connor.

Chris isn't exactly doing a bang up job with managing his finances.

If we keep assuming that Connor lies about absolutely everything such as his parents, then we may not know whether nature or nurture made him this stubborn or so deathly afraid of failure. His parents could just have made mistakes that fucked his autistic mind up later on and he called it 'abuse' for extra shitty life brownie points. He may have actually been abused and could be saving face by making it look like he's just lying and being a whiny fat faggot. We may not actually know because it's hard to detect truth and lies via text on a screen, but Connor's constant lying and us yelling at him just for typing something as a result of us being jaded to his whiny lies probably isn't helping anyone's case.

This is Finals Week for TCL, but I'm not sure what day Connor's final is on. So sometime this week or weekend we should get an update on how our Little Brother Bible did on them. Good luck dude!

Right, I remember that! Your avatar was still a zombie with a monocle then.
. . .don't judge me.

Man, I love this thread. Between you & @Philosophy Zombie, I get such great insight. I think this is EXACTLY what Connor believes. In part, I think, because he's an adult autistic child maturity-wise, & because he feels like an odd duck compared to the rest of his family. If he genuinely feels like he's on the "wrong planet," of course he'd feel like he's in the "wrong family," too.

He does. & his parents legally took control of it after Connor's second(?) suicide attempt. Which raises an interesting question---why? Connor's parents have him so thoroughly whipped that it's not like he'd try to sue them for it. It's like with Chris---legally, he doesn't have to give Barb any of his tugboat, but he does, because she's got him so browbeaten. So why would Connor's parents go through all the trouble of getting power of attorney when Our Pet Vealchop won't do anything about it, anyway? It just seems weird to me.

Oh, that's right, I forgot! He mentioned that too, before he chimped out:
Hey guys,

My semester is drawing to a close, and the final is next week.
Best of luck, Connor. I do mean that sincerely. Kinda wish we could see his report card, though. . .

It's a nickname for Aloysius. It's also Arnold Schwarzenegger's middle name, because of course it is.

It was Hitler's father's name, so probably not so popular since then.

Oh, okay. So it is Austrian. That's why it was not so familiar.

(I was away a long time, so slow reply from me! Amazing that things are still the same in this thread and it lives)

The math exam's tomorrow, and I've been studying for it. I apologize for the depressive episode. I get that way a lot, and not just on the Internet. After I pass this sucker (fingers crossed), I'll get back to writing. I've already got a solid plot outline for Alphaboy and a fuckton of ideas for short stories that want to get out of my head.

Also, hi @Smutley .

Why are you aiming to simply only pass it?
Shouldn't you try and aim a bit higher rather than scraping by, holding on by only the skin of your teeth?

Good luck dude! As much as I have good memories about college, I'd never want to go through the finals crunch again.

When it comes to your depressive episodes, is there a trigger or catalyst for them, like stress? Or do they come seemingly at random?

There are times, Smut, when I am legitimately unhappy with myself, my existence, and life in general. Nonetheless, I do not only what I can, but what I must. Passing tomorrow's exam with flying colors has been my number one goal for some time. I have been studying, day and night, in preparation.
