but there are times where I have to use the Indiana Jones technique to achieve my story goals.
@Connor Any chance you could describe what that is?

Connor, don't tell us that you're starting. Come back later today and tell us "I wrote ___ pages today!" if you want us to take it seriously. Then do that constantly throughout the month to prove that you're making progress and sticking to something.
I don't know if that's entirely the best advice to be giving, to be honest. I did National Novel Writing Month for three years, and in all cases they were stories I wanted to tell, but the actual production of the novel came through religiously spitting out 1667 words every day. It's true that my writings aren't published, because since that happened I realized that I don't actually fancy writing as much as I thought. But given that Connor struggles with writer's block, spitting out words is a good way to make something happen. Revisions come later.do you even know what's going to happen or are you still doing that flow of consciousness bullshit
Writer's block flow-of-consciousness is different than just writing a book like you would a forum post. Flow of consciousness is for writing flesh when you aren't compelled to make any. If you do your entire book like that it's gunna suck.I don't know if that's entirely the best advice to be giving, to be honest. 1687 words left in the first chapter. I had to eat dinner.

Fuck bedtime. I'm not crashing until that first chapter ends, with Sean Gillespie getting on the bus to school, followed by a black four-door Audi with tinted windows.Better hurry, you only have 2 and a half hours until bedtime!
BTW: Hi Connor!
Fuck bedtime.
I'm not going to be working on that monster for quite some time. So, is Redesigning Eva dead?
I'm just about done with the first chapter of Alphaboy, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm about 1,261 words into the story, and I'm hoping to get 468 pages done before the month of April is up. Go ahead and rate this optimistic if you want, but I'm determined to get this bad boy out of my head. So, @Connor I thought I should let you know what I've been working on.
It's been very hard for me to get back into the swing of writing (or even being creative at all), but last night I finally reach over 8,000 words on this short demo I'm writing. It's up to 16 pages and while I was aiming for 20, it might run over that. It will probably need some editing, though. I can get a bit verbose, but this is something I've been working on for the past few weeks and I'm finally starting to feel it again.
How's yours going, buddy?
