If I decide to expand on this very silly project in the future, I will take the time to ask permission, but because this was something I slapped together in an hour it sort of slipped my mind.

Well, it's a blend of superhero comics, Japanese anime, and old school action movies with philosophy and Christian symbolism thrown in.

On the off chance you see this, Connor - why are your inspirations for your books always from comics, TV and movies, not other books? The storytelling conventions of the mediums are very different, and what works in a movie often doesn't work in a book.

(I'm not counting "philosophy" because it's way too vague).

Great minds and all that! I'm (...still...) rebuilding old posts but I had that idea as well. I was going to wait until all the images were fixed but maybe it would be better to get a jump on it and compile this so people could have an easier way to look through older content.

Maybe a mod could update the OP with the list of links once I get it put together into a post?

I watched an Italian poliziotteschi film called Ricco the Mean Machine, or just Ricco for short. It's got to be one of the best movies of the genre. Christopher Mitchum (son of Robert) gives an understated, well-rounded performance as a young man torn between getting payback against the Don who killed his old man and being a playboy. It has a liberal amount of T&A and gory violence, as well as a surprising touch of tragedy. In short, it was fun.

Once again, the best thing about the Connor thread is seeing how creative Kiwis can be! This was awesome.
