Holy crap, Connor, it's your lucky day. Reading this latest example of your anti-adoption screed has given me an idea for how to explain how a non-broken person perceives the vile shit you say. I'm going to give you the key to understanding just how horrible your opinions on adoption are so, if nothing else, you can shut the fuck up about it once and for all.

What you say is the equivalent of me saying "Anyone who has an autistic kid and doesn't kill it is just doing it either because they want to molest the kid, and want someone disabled who can't resist them, or because they want attention for being so heroic for taking care of a retard in public but in private they neglect the kid. Those are the only reasons anyone would not kill their autistic child, because who could sincerely love a genetic freak like that? People don't want their genetic legacy to end up in a broken retarded mess."

Do you see now? I made it relate to you. See how repugnant and ignorant that sounds? Now imagine if I said that kind of shit constantly, apropos of nothing, in completely unrelated threads, over an extended period of time, and made it known that I had never actually met an autistic person. What would you think of me then?

But... but... but he's writing things! Resume still in progress.

Why haven't you finished your resume Connor?

More like because he confuses movies with reality.

And again, the only adoption-related movie he's ever bitched about is Juno. Which he hadn't even seen for the longest time. And I don't know why he hates Vanessa so much; I honestly saw her as one of the most sympathetic characters in the movie. All she wanted was a child to raise and love and nurture as her own, which is perfectly natural. How does that make her a pedophile/underhanded bitch/whatever?

Connor, seriously dude, can you please tell us what gave you such a massive hate boner for adoption? It makes literally no sense.

I think we've all been through unreasonably cynical stages in life, but thats still pretty fucking bizarre. Do you think the autism played a part?
People, especially autistics, have a tendency to use people or things that don't fit their worldview as punching bags, or poison containers. I'm certainly guilty of it.

So what's caused this recent change in personality we're seeing? Couple days ago you were raging but now your more calm and even implying that you don't think that adoptions evil anymore.

Because, in my immature cynicism, I thought that no human would be that kind and altruistic.

I know you've been told off numerous times for your shit views on adoption, but what the hey?

I've got an aunt and uncle who can't conceive the natural way because of my aunt's lady parts not working like they should. Anyway, said aunt's got a sister with an adorable little girl whom my aunt and uncle love very much and quite frankly are better parents than my aunt's sister generally is. To clarify, from what I've heard, the little girls parents fight a lot and supposedly the mother didn't really want to be a mother in the first place.

TL;DR hanging out with and taking care of their niece from time to time is the closest thing my aunt and uncle will have to an actual child. Similarly, many people adopt children because they can't make any of their own. Seriously, what did adoption agencies EVER do to you man that made you tard rage over them?

So are you admitting that you were wrong then and your views have changed now?
Yes, indeed.

My different attitude can attributed to this very thread. I regularly keep up with it, and it's caused me to look deep within myself.

Take my advice Connor, seriously.

I'm the only person in the whole Kiwi Farms who didn't give a shit about you until recently. I am legit.

Honestly @Connor, you seem to be doing a lot better. Keep it up! :heart-full:

I don't think you're hopeless at all, but you've worked yourself into a really bizarre state, and you're going to have to change a lot about your ways of thinking to get you out of it. By the way, have you ever tried CBT? There are a lot of worksheets you can find online and print off that help you go through your thought processes and determine whether your being rational.

And uh, what do you find?
I've realized that I'm a mess, frankly. My social skills are limited, my experience lacking, my confidence low. My body has atrophied. I need to work to improve myself, physically and psychologically. Every day, I'm going to write at least a page. When it warms up, I'll go for walks. If it stays cold, I'll wait until the weather is suitable. I will cut back on the amount of food I consume daily.
