I think if someone were to offer him a writing job he’d turn it down once they told him he’d have to produce actual written content. He’s far more interested in people thinking he’s an intellectual author than he in actually writing something.
Also, he’ll probably never get an offer for a writing job since he refuses to apply for jobs.

If you can't find a job, make your own job. Maybe Connor could grow a fruit and vegetable garden, raise a few chicken. Yes, I know it's a silly idea but at least.... it would be something to contribute to the household. He's 31 and he has none of the adult skills to function. I see one of two options: His parents use a little bit of tough-love to help him get a full-time paying job or he has to go into a group home.

That requires effort and commitment on his part, two things that Connor doesn't have.

He's been working on his novel about Evangelion for the past... fifteen years or however long it's been. For a while he would join that "Write More in November" challenge. You're just supposed to write and put down how many words you did each day. He always started off strong, or at least strong for him, and write a couple hundred words in the first couple days. Then nothing afterwards.

Connor's ideal job is him sitting in a chair and getting paid for it while producing nothing.

I don’t think it’s a silly idea. Just there’s no chance Connor would ever do that. He just refuses to do anything for himself.
Based on a YouTube video he posted there’s no chance he’d be able to take care of himself. He cant communicate well enough to ever get a job on his own. And with his parents getting close to 70 he may need a group home at some point in the not distant future.

There’s really not much there. A two minute video where he struggles to communicate that he has nothing to say and almost nothing else.
Also he posts dumb shit like this on blue sky.

Yeah he’s just useless virtue signaling garbage. He thinks he’s smarter than everybody. Looks down in everybody. And is just a mean spirited doofus.
He acts like he’s this intellectual cinephile and hates people watching the “lowest common denominator” but can only barely understand 80’s B action movies.
And since South Carolina requires age verification for porn sites he watches Japanese pink films which are really just exploitation movies about raping women.
 
Different levels of suffering in this world. Arguably at one extreme is starving prisoner in a North Korean concentration camp. Arguably at the other extreme is independent, rich, and happy while genuinely enjoying life. Somewhere between those two extremes is the life of Connor Bible, although he may think he is at the worst level of suffering.

His taste in movies, from what he's mentioned, is mainstream at best. I mean he's probably heard of big name directors and their works but has never seen them much less would he be able to talk about them. His interest in movies is. "Is Molly Ringwald in it"? And "was it made in the 80's"?
