i didnt miss the point, i just ignored it. this isnt school, you dont get points for using the right path but getting the wrong results.

to get to your point, EVS has every right to protect the brand he and zack created from fags taking over.
Protecting a movement he himself co-opted by appeasing SJWs. That's a cucked excuse to explain how much of a movement of pussies it is.

In this month's episode of "What have you done, Chelsea?!" Chelsea publishes new issue of her hit series man-eaters.

How Chelsea Cain still gets work baffles me.

I dunno, Maneaters reminds me a lot of Dave Sim's Glamourpuss*. Its an incredibly self-indulgent work, rambling, and misses more than it hits. But at least its interesting. One of the major problems with SJW comics and SJW writers is that they're predictable. You're never going to pick up a comic by Mags Visaggio and be surprised or delighted or fascinated by whats inside. Mags is a one-note, below-average writer. He's so dull he's made the punk aesthetic boring. To her credit, Chelsea's Maneaters isn't boring. When you read Maneaters, you don't know if Chelse is off her meds, trying to induct you into Nxivm or just sincerely nutty enough to believe she's writing the seminal menstruation comic for teen girls. In any case, comics needs more crazy people writing crazy shit.

*writing-wise. Sim is a master cartoonist, while Maneaters looks like it was drawn by a disabled person.

That's the first time I've read the Man-eaters synopsis and I've got to say, that sounds more original than every other SJW comic.

Sina Grace: it's Iceman but super gay
Zoe Quinn: It's the Matrix but they're all queer
Kwanzer: It's XMen but they're all black

Chelsea Cain: Man-Eaters is the story of a virus transmitted girls that transforms them into violent werecats during their periods.

How can Chelsea Cain have missed that trans people are way higher on the progressive stack than normal women?

After marinating for years in the SJW sludge, how can she be so stupid as to believe she's in a position to fight back against critisism from their most high status caste; the stunning and brave trans people?

Ha, wow Chelsea is taking a beating, but that what happens when you get woke but don't pander to the right crowd at all times. Those complaints are retarded though, Hey jackasses, if you're trans, you don't suddenly start getting periods, fucking deal with it instead of getting mad at Chelsea for not making up facts.

Yeah that's the problem, the idea itself is interesting, but it's just so poorly executed and disgusting(not in a fun way). And fuck that issue that was just fake ads, people like 5 bucks for that.

Yup, and this is why I'm not shitting on her creativity. If she went thriller or horror route instead of SJW rainbow pamphlet, tis would be pretty good comics. How do you say it? It's not about the idea, but how you deliver - every Wikipedia article on any movie sounds like shit.

What I shit on with her is clearly her lack of experience and how she just doesn't know how to set up beats in comics as a seprate medium, She very like read little of them. Her work RN is very mediocre due to her lack of savoir-faire. On top of that, she picks artists whose work is superficially pretty (Niemczyk.... I've known her since 2005 IRL and have seen her progress in real time. She presents very little substance in her art but wants to make it pretty. She has little analitical skills to take her to another level, and it's been proven many times over. She does draw nice boobs tho and it's how she got her career on deviantart.) but if you take a longer closer look it just lacks in every artistic aspect. This is to me a sign of an amataeur comics conneseur. (or just a person with little taste and understanding).

What gets me, is why is she so hell bent on doing comics if she was good writer. Just obnoxiously insinuating she might be not as succesful there too.

True that. I would have enjoyed this so much if it was just better production.

And is she's doing this all to troll twitter- that backfires spectacularly.

ETA. I'm still baffled why she got Niemczyk in the first place to draw this. Niemczyk has always been known for draing the cheesiest of cheescackes and was always aiming into that Marvel/animu blend of styles. Baffles me thoroughly.

I'm LOLing at Chelsea getting her ass Whedon'd simply because she isn't ignoring the biological fact that trans women cannot get periods. It's one thing to support trans women as women, but it is another thing entirely to pretend that someone born with a dick and balls and got them cut off can now magically ovulate without a uterus and ovaries.

Please create a movement of "non SJW-appeasing tough guys" in comics. That'll show me.

How Chelsea Cain still gets work baffles me.

She creates her own work. She's a novelist who worked a bit for Marvel, it didn't work out so well, so she went back to her novels. Then back to Marvel for a VISION miniseries that took too long to produce, so Marvel axed it and asked her to quietly walk away. Chelsea went the opposite route and blew them up on the internet for firing a woman.

Simultaneously, she got MANEATERS started, and IMAGE, which is a not-for-profit publisher, agreed to publish it.

IMAGE kinda works like this: If your book looks professional, they'll solicit and publish it for a nominal fee. Something like $2500. You get to keep the profits after that, to divide among your staff.

So it's easy for an industry name like Cain to go to IMAGE and get this book underway. I'm kind of shocked at why Comics SJWs are mobilizing against her. I do believe there are elements within Marvel Comics that instruct the SJWs on twitter, and manipulate whisper networks.

My suspicion is that whatever went down on Chelsea's last outing at Marvel lead to this current campaign to destroy her.

The idea that trannies are mad because the comic accurately points out that men don't menstruate is insane, absolutely. However, putting tweets of your critics in your comics is so short-sighted and bitchy that it's a wonder that nobody stopped her. I don't buy that those people have legal grounds to sue, but it does reinforce that Cain is extremely sensitive to criticism, which means people will know they can get under her skin easily. I wouldn't want people knowing that about me if I was a public figure on twitter.

You really think she pissed off someone at Marvel bad enough to get a target on her back and it's not a bunch of twitter weirdos looking a reason to virtue signal? Man, the comic industry has way too much spite going around.

For shit that Image comics gets, I still appreciate them for sticking it to Marvel and DC. Especially Marvel tho.

Maneaters is indicative of why these SJW comics fail. Their inability to apply subtly or subtext to a story. It's all message first, plot and character second.

If you want to see what Chelsea was kind of shooting for, or should have been if she'd leaned into the horror / thriller aspects of the story as you suggest, then watch 'Ginger Snaps' -(2000). It's an excellent low budget Canadian werewolf movie that managed to generate a bit of a feminist following and a couple of pretty good sequels.
It's 'I was a Teenage Werewolf', goth girl edition with puberty as a subtext for lycanthropy.

From the wiki:
Because the film links lycanthropy to menstruation and features two sisters, Ginger Snaps lends itself to a feminist critique. "By simultaneously depicting female bonds as important and fraught with difficulties, Ginger Snaps portrays the double-binds teenage girls face." and "Ginger is an embodiment of these impossible binaries: she is at once sexually attractive and monstrous, 'natural' and 'supernatural,' human and animal, 'feminine' and transgressive, a sister and a rival."

Now, it is all that, but it's also just a cool werewolf movie if you want it to be, because that shit's in the subtext, the movie isn't constantly throwing bloody tampons at the audiences face and shouting, 'It's all metaphor for bleeding from the cunt! GET IT? GET IT??'

Cain appears to have what many of the SJW writers have; OK idea, very bad execution. Like one of the speedwagon guys had me interested in his take on fake christmas's 'black'. Essentially the idea was along the lines of whitey grounding up black babies into powder and snorting it to get superpowers. With one line he showed so many shortcomings of blacks writing, provided a much more interesting story and it probably took him 10 minutes. @damian might be the only person apart from ya boi to actually read manhunters, so maybe he'll give us his take on the latest issue.

My suspicion is that whatever went down on Chelsea's last outing at Marvel lead to this current campaign to destroy her.
IDK, her 'men aren't women' post back around issue #2 is enough for the woke brigade to have another swing.

Yeah, this is just too intense and too focused. It's coming from somewhere. That's my opinion.

You're absolutely right. Cain already got the ire of mad trannies on the internet, but then she kept poking the bear by posting their tweets in her comic. We already knew that Cain folds like a cheap lawn chair way back in 2016 when she flounced off Twitter after getting less than a dozen hate Tweets over her dumb Mockingbird retcon. So doubling down like that when she has thinner skin than a burn victim was a dumb move for Cain.

Oh, no. Oh no no no. Ya boi Zack isn't the only one to tackle it. The series makes for pretty good roasting. You need to check out J. Ishiro Finney and Kat Rocha's series "Adventures in Awful". They tackled Maneaters along with many other awful books hence the name.
