I'm not entirely sure what Collin's deal is but they tend to show up in these circles. Once during the "diversity doesn't sell" shitstorm, he surprisingly wasn't losing their mind like other SJWs and they did a fairly accurate analysis (from what I remember) on how it's more harmful to constantly renumber issues to #1s, drag new series into crossovers before they can find an identity/audience, and flood the market so you lose sales to yourself. Nothing of note besides that.

On one hand it's funny that Gail Simone would endorse an unhinged nobody hack like Darryl Ayo (his tumblr comic rarely goes above 10 likes and he's even desperate enough to tag it "monster girls") just to be contrarian but on the other hand it's kinda obvious Ayo's just trying to mílk publicity out of DnC and his followers. He doesn't need to win arguments, every time he calls someone a nazi he earns a point and the more they engage him the more he gains from it.

I don't know, dude. That's like saying the more we engage Potato Phil, the more he gains from it. I mean, yeah...more people know who he is, I guess, sure. His fame grows. It's just, he's famous for being a fat, tattooed, fungussy rétard.
 
I'm not really keeping up with this from what I can see is that it boils down to bad writers wanting to do political commentary miscalculating the sentiments of their target audience and being unable to act professional online.
I won't really comment on the comics until I've read more but it's clear a great deal of this could be defused if someone just told Dan and co to stop attacking detractors on twitter and online in general.

Oddly similar to gamergate in that way.

Plus someone should fire the aint it cool guy-short term hate clicks arnt worth brand damage.

You've pretty much got it. These writers keep writing for the audience they want (far left progressives) not the audience they have. Y'know, normal in the middle people who are not spergs about politics 24/7 and want to read cape comics. It's truly mind boggling they just don't GET it. Nobody hates the new Marvel characters they've created because of race or gender or sexuality. They hate them because they're boring and trying to eclipse the actual mantle of the original character by trying to make the original out to be worse and/or unworthy. It sucks.

So these vocal asshole writers (And one subpar troon colorist) want to double down on Twitter and act fairly unprofessionally towards fans and customers. To the point where almost all of them have made 'DON'T BUY MY BOOKS REEEEE' posts. And to be fair, we weren't and aren't and that's why the axe came to a ton of them.

But you're right. A lot of this would just STOP if they could act like actual decent people but I'm starting to agree with D&C. These are protohumans that don't have personality or hobbies aside from being on Twitter and occasionally making comics where they can inject their pet agendas into them. From how unpleasant most of them act towards customers and their so called friends, (friends as long as you toe the liberal line obviously) I'm not shocked they are currently eating each other.

Be careful what you wish for it seems. Personally it's quite the business they live in where they can insult the punters I'd be out the fucking door feet first in any job I've ever had if I was even allowed to be candid with the customers/general public much less rude. surely their must be some minority artists/writters who arnt total retards on twitter that Marvel can replace them with?

For anyone with a job in comics there's a hundred people who would be glad to fill it and not just be entitled cunts who think they're owed it because "woke."

They exist, yeah. Christopher Priest is usually cited as an example because he has a legitimate fanbase and didn't return to comics until recently when companies like DC offered him series that didn't revolve around "You're black so write black characters doing black things". He would rather write about Deathstroke.

That's part of the problem too. Many journalists would tear them alive if they did purge everyone at once and many of those journalists only have that career to get their name out there to get into a major publisher. It's why a lot of them have shitty webcomics. They just want their name attached to something "influential" so they can brag about working for Marvel.

The expelling that happened alongside the last EiC getting fired is the closest we'll probably get to that unless they get ballsy enough to go "fuck the police" and ignore the countless hit pieces about them endorsing "Nazism" while hoping this wins back customers. An act like that would be suicide if unsuccessful but the alternative is keep bleeding money. There are still articles being written about them being white supremacists for cancelling tons of series literally no one was reading including the people writing said articles.

Considering the competition for art jobs these days their should be a mexican stepping over Gabby and dans portly asses as we speak. Shit I can write better than these cunts and I come from a loser country. Maybe I should throw my hat in the race.

Episode 1-America Chavez goes to mexico to fight drug cartels and Goverment corruption rather than dicking around in new york.

To be fair, people also make fun of white writers doing the "#Woke PoC" thing and come off as far removed from the groups they focus on. I don't support the notion of "you should only write people 'like' you" but I know that'll come up. They would go to the argument that they're fixing that issue.

Journalists vastly overestimate who gives a flying fuck about the fake news and clickbait they spew, and tumblrinas vastly overestimate the influence people who don't even buy a product can have by boycotting it. Catering to these cunts has led to economic catastrophe. I don't see how catering to people who actually do buy their product could possibly end up worse.
