The majority of the people never had any ideology. They just stick a label to themselves and complain about waht the other side is doing. They will often end up doing the exact same thing years later but then it's okay because their side is doing it to.
Asking a random person about their political opinion is like asking a childless 50 year old woman how to raise kids.
 
Ideology was never about consistency, just about crafting a belief system to place faith in. It’s always been about giving something to the masses that they will be stupid enough to latch onto so they don’t realize the proposed conflict with other ideologies isn’t actually worth fighting over
 
Coherent ideology is not dead, but idiots can not comprehend coherent ideologies because it is genuinely too high level for them to understand. This is a prime example of why universal suffrage will doom any democratic system of any kind. The average person is too much of a retard to comprehend complex systems, which means they can not comprehend ideologies which are meant to wrangle complex systems and the people who manage them into a functioning nation. Your typical midwit throws around terms like "fascism" and "communism", but wouldn't be able to define those terms even if you had a gun to their head, because they simply are not intelligent enough to participate in anything resembling meaningful discourse.

The main issue is that it is hard to hear any coherent thought over the hundreds of millions of screaming howler monkeys that make up the average constituency in the West, so it appears that everyone is a moron. This is made worse by the fact that these people are allowed to vote, and negate the votes of people with triple digit IQs.

People are weak. After WW2, we started giving up, more and more, on the hard work of authenticity and making choices. Philosophy circled the drain and then fucked the hole of Structuralism, and here we are. The strongest example would be Marxists, shitlibs, progressives, any other sort of victim-means-better-than-you weakness-worshipping faggotry.

Mind you, I mean literally everyone, not just whoever you, reading thinks are dumb. Have you actually thought for yourself and evaluated what you stand for, or do you just pick some side to follow?
