Finished the game and picked what I thought was the true ending. I went and looked up the other ending and saw it wasn’t focused solely on Lune’s feet so the game is evil woke garbage/evil alt right garbage and gets a 3.3/10.

Completed, final boss didn't get a single turn in, music is killer, though.

Alright i've let this game settle a little bit in my head and I just want to give some final thoughts on experience.
MAJOR SPOILERS DO NOT OPEN UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED THE GAME.
First off what an absolutely beautiful game, everything from gameplay, to the music, to the environments, to each individual character, to the acting, to the lore and story as a whole, this thing is irrefutably a product of love, care, and immense skill and effort.

The gameplay wears its inspirations on its sleeves combining Final Fantasy, Lost Odyssey, and surprisingly Devil May Cry, just to name a few, it is a blast to play and even as I was getting my ass handed to me by certain bosses, the sheer enjoyment I got from the battle system made each rematch an easy decision. The traversal was also pretty good in presentation.

The environments are beautify inspired by French art, for obvious reasons, each environment has a story, a legacy, an emotion attached to it and it comes out so perfectly. Every new area is a sight to behold, filled with an abundance of little details that tell a story or left me wondering what was, if any, the deeper meaning to it.

The music does not need my words to justify it, I was early in my playthrough and the music just took center stage and I couldn't imagine them having a budget for such a composer, then I later found out he was just a soundcloud artist. Lorien Testard will forever have my respect and probably the respect of the whole industry after his beautiful compositions.

So we finally get to the story, and wow what an adventure. There's a quote i forgot, but it went something like 'todays filmmakers are inspired by movies, the best filmmakers were inspired by books.' and these writers have done their reading. the whole tale of the expeditions, to traveling out, to the fire side chats with comrades, to the romantic interests. It was all in service of a question that most were not ready for 'Are you willing to let it all go'

It might seem like manipulative to some, but I think the whole adventure was perfectly made to make you have conflict over whether or not to burn the canvas was a great way to put you into the shoes of Alicia, you love these characters, you love this world, and the only encounters youve had with the outside world were negative. Idk what it did to you but I almost felt compelled to save the canvas.

Overall this shit is a 10/10 from me, Lets see what Death Stranding 2 will do, probably just be weird and oddly political like the last one.

Nigga, why are you getting baited by a week old account from some cock slurper?

1800-1900s France and its full of niggers. Nope. Not even pirating this woke slop. You can say that it doesnt matter and that its just a little bit but the reality of it is that you are just making excuses for it because you like the game.
The bond between a gamer and their niggerslop is more sacred than that of a mother and her child, you should have known better buddy.

I apologize, i didnt realize that super heckin based bros were gonna read this thread.
So there's like a 4 black people in the introduction, one of which you have to talk to, gross.
then there's a scene in which a character whom had experienced massive trauma due to the events of the story
may have suggested and not out right said they had a lesbian experience, because they just needed someone to relate to

This clearly makes this an automatic 0/10
how can you faggots even tolerate this level of SJW DEI LGBTBBQQ nonsense

depends, are you bitch made
No, I already said I want to avoid the one-shot builds that just ignore him. I'm honestly sure I can beat him with the current setup I have going, I'm bad at parries and don't have nearly enough sustain to face tank. I'm just looking at those NG+ pictos of expensive skills with good stats, and it's tempting.

you know they do the same moves with the same timings, if you are sure you have a team that can beat them, then beat them. I know of at least 2 bosses that require parries to beat them.

Completely valid complaints, and that's the main reason I am iffy to buy as well; anyone who claims you are being hyperbolic is a slack jawed retard too stupid to understand what led to progressives ruining entertainment to begin with. I was initially interested when I saw there was a cute redhead and positive reception, but personally I am going to wait for Synthetic Man's review before I purchase because cramming in browns is always a really bad sign for any piece of entertainment. I have no interest giving money to people who hate me and my people, and I do not care how angry that makes progressives, but I also have to see if that's a persistent theme in the game and not one screenshot from an intro segment.
Synthetic futa would never ever ever rape a child

Anyone else's interest in the game plunge once you get the new guy in the party? *sigh*(:_(
Yeah, the way they went about with the new guy's inclusion into the party is honestly one of the few missteps in the game, I feel. Narratively, it immediately disconnects you from the investment you previously had in the goals of the party, and he obviously knows more than the player, which isn't really a good thing in terms of immersion.

So, I can't beat Simon because at the moment, and I don't want to do a one-shot build and just ignore him. Do I continue bashing my skull against the wall, or NG+ for more Lumina and Pictos?
Just do all other content and visits him last.

By one shot, do you mean 100% to 0%, or the last 30-40% when he does his gay ass move and wipes your team? If it's the latter, I think it's alright.
You beat his first phase and you chipped 60% of his life in the second. It's only fair you beat faggotry with greater faggotry.
If you want to go at it the hard way, I suggest you load up with Lumina such as cheater/revive/first strike and invest in gradient generation.
Monoco's 3rd gradient is incredible.
Also, in the second phase, all his moves are duplicate, so press insta dodge/parry. Except the Light Speed attack, which is annoying and extremely homosexual.

I've posted in this thread my strategy for beating him and I did it twice.
I'm doing another run at the moment, and I'm planning a different strategy and team for him. We'll see if it's successful of not.
