Deflecting blame to Youtube isn't even lolcow behavior. Wait until he actively and explicitly decries "these icky transphobes" or tells half his fanbase to fuck off because he "doesn't want that kind of audience". Until then, he's just pandering to the fanbase of a genre that has been completely overrun by trannies and soyboys. He's dancing to the tune to avoid being booed out of the stage. And that's not lolcow behavior, that's just basic self-preservation. If he drinks the koolaid and starts trying to own the chuds at the expense of the subject or quality of his videos, that's when I'll label him a lolcow.

The mandalore thing reeked off his furry friends pushing into it despite him clearly not giving a fuck.
Meanwhile civvies virtue signaling is clearly intentional, if he didn't want a shirstorm he could have just NOT put that callboard in his video, or just not called attention to it.

Civvies main problem is that his niche (boomer shooters and very specific old shit) that he stubbornly refuses to get out of just isn't very complex. So instead of talking about design principles and other broader concepts he's reduced to just pointing out how "this goon feel good" and "enemy shit, me good". He tries to break it up by talking about history but even this is boring because it boils down to "some company maybe acquired some studio, making some games, and then in [insert date here] releasing this game that i' taking about right now. crazy right?"

He should just take the L and start playing old adventure games, and then branch off to something else, but he's not going to do that until he's really pressed against the wall because both his patrons and YT want him to keep doing what he's doing with no deviation. Right now barring some nontroversy he's getting too boring to even talk about. Every time i see a notification i keep asking myself why do i even follow this tread.

I liked the video overall. He seemed genuinely happy about duke being duke and minus the retarded signaling over the tranny poster I thought things were mostly fine. I think he's getting a bit big for his britches with regard to (ironically?) complaining about fans just LOVING HIM so much that they WON'T STOP ASKING HIM TO MAKE MORE CONTENT, JEEZ. I find those comments a bit off-putting, personally. I'm also sick of the "Katie" fourth-wall breaking stuff but again, all a matter of taste.

It's fun to talk about the games he plays and I find him entertaining, that's why I follow the thread. That and the inevitable meltdown.

I'm 50/50 on it being an inevitable meltdown, or an inevitable canceling. With the crowd he's catering to, the moment that dude steps an inch out of line he's going to get nailed to the cross so hard he'll be offered an endorsement from the Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation. Either way, it will be entertaining.

Somehow, I knew something like this was gonna happen when he complained about that one faggot joke in the Russian Postal 2 mod. A mod for a game that was based entirely around being as offensive as possible.

Just take Doom community as an example. don't know about nuDoom fanbase but the old ones bloke is literally infested with them. Zdoom.org and their discord are the most notorious example.
