I played the first 2 games and they're average but the gore is fucking amazing especially the 2nd one. I thought he edited out the gore completely but he only censored the gore in the intro.

Edit: it immediately got age-restricted so expect this to get privated and a re-upload to happen.
Damn, how the fuck does Youtube recognize gore so well? It's so low-poly with low-fidelity textures.

Yeah, youtube content matching is not particularly smart. It could be it recognized the name of the game and associated it with the magazine, or just has anything about the game set to be age-restricted by default.

BTW: the magazine Soldier of Fortune is a honey pot setup by the feds.
Is there a story around it? Because just about every male-centric activity these days is blamed being a glowop.
Oh boy kvetching about Iraq, how hilarious
Iraq is kinda Gen X/Boomer Ukraine, an overall pointless conflict that caused more harm than fighting it solved, with the main villain being a figure the USA media spent decades demonizing (not that he wasn't bad).

Soldier of Fortune magazine was legit, but there were feds who would use it to put honey pots and glowposts. Not really SoF fault about it, but it happened.

Also I find the Iraq awkwardness charming in a way. It really does remind one of a time long ago when people didn't know better. Can't blame Civvie for getting some cringe from it.

When I was playing the game my reaction was "oh yeah, Iraq, I remember those guys". He's correct that in hindsight it looks a bit weird and his bit about it was funny.

Absolutely, they were the cheap villains in action movies after the Soviet union fell but the way it was framed in SoF combined with the later shit that led up to Desert Storm 2... The Civvie bit was funny.
Actually even before the fall of the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall. Most 80s movies use most of either Eastern European or Middle Eastern as the villains in movies or shows.

Even China itself was an enemy! But not in modern remakes of movies where they were the original threat...

And use Americans (and occasionally British, and even at times Australians) as number one action heroes, even though most of the people who play as Americans are from Italy or Germany or wherever.

I mean most of the media during the 2000s onward was all in on tackling the War on Terror (and also having Dubya derangement syndrome)

Let's not forget this gem
