Very cool. I just saw Josh's playthrough on Locals. My only complaint is that there's a few typos here and there.

wow what a poorly disguised dog torture sim
not only forcing me shoot the dog by having it run into line of fire repeatetly but also implying its molestation by the feral f*male if left unguarded
the warp gun and double barreled rice shooter were fun to use though and the glorious removal of the vile nation of streetshitters had me soyclapping ferociously

Played through it. Was saved by streamer mode on the last level.
Got lowkey called racist by a coworker I shared this with.
10 out of 10, would nuke India again.

I think that most programmers haven't been writing code long enough to get over the imposter syndrome, as well as they usually don't seem to understand what's going on with "AI" and LLMs. The worst thing you can do is anthropomorphize this shit; you know it's pretty bad when a dev starts saying "Claude thought better and did X instead of Y" and the reality is that no "thought" was ever achieved.
I've been writing code my entire life, starting with the computer intro cartridge for the Magnavox Odyssey^2 and MS Basic on an Epson QX-10... and I still feel like an idiot when I have to write a program or script from scratch.

The AI agents I use do "think better" than me on occasion, fixing something I missed, or using some feature or library I'm unfamiliar with to reach my goal more efficiently. When you have an indexable library of modern programming syntax and encyclopedic knowledge of all the tools and libraries in existance, that's bound to happen.

My biggest frustration is that if you don't know the structure of what you doing, AI isn't all that good at helping you figure that shit out.
This is the real equalizer. If you don't know what you're doing and don't know what to ask for, the AI will 9 times out of 10 fuck it up. You must be at least 10% smarter than your tools, or at least have an understanding of what your asking for and structured programming.

My boss isn't dumb, but he was never a computer science major. He has tried vibe coding some custom tools to make our work easier... and I've had to fix them using the same AI tools.

It's a "retro" video game made by a man with an anime girl avatar on a esoteric operating system about contemporary edgy internet humor. Might not apply to crunklord specifically but if anything this is the kind of thing someone would in their pre-tranisition edgelord phase.
obsessive depiction of women in the game as well and just being a 'boomer shooter'.
trying to be 'artsy' by applying 1000x filters to it.

Just had a chance to play it, amazing work! You made a lot of progress compared to last years demo

Its crazy what AI can do nowadays, though I hope locally ran AI continues to gain ground. While Claude is great, all these major AI companies are funded by 'investors' which means they will be enshittified at some point or another. With a locally ran AI you will never have to worry about it being changed, lobotomized, limited, etc.
