Chris is an expert at ignoring things that give him prickly-wicklies. We know he's in denial about his weight, it really wouldn't surprise me if he's ignoring other warning signs. He wouldn't be the first to think, "It won't happen to me," as he crams his face full of Whopperitos and energy drinks.

That being said, you never know. You can do everything right and still keel over at 30, or you can eat like a pig, drink like a fish and smoke like a chimney and still hit 90. It's luck of the draw a lot of the time.

He probably equates "Good food and Good drink" with tasting good.

Ergo, in his mind, shitty fast food that's high in fat, is good.

From 12 to 13 though, he really porked up. At first I thought it was 90's baggy clothes, but holy shit, look at those thighs

That's disturbing, he has been taking photos with soda since Middle or Highschool..WTF. I guess the obesity epidemic began in America way before experts believe. I feel so bad for that Chris, he looks fun, friendly, and approachable. I wish we could go back and time and trade Chris for shadow of a person we have now.

I Wonder if the Local McD's workers have figured out his story.
He made a post of about some guy that works at McDonald's recognizing him, so I am sure everyone knows about him, hands him his food, and walks away. The guy was very nice to him, but Chris wrote something hateful about him, what a Jerk.

Excellent. The more he experiences diarrhea, the more likely his wound is to get infected.
I think it is infected there's no question, his diet isn't the only thing that's bad, his hygiene isn't too great either and with wounds like that you want to keep them cleaned and go to the clinic and have it looked at.

Mmmmhmmm, I reckon that boy shit his britches with explosive diarrhea jus bout errrr day eatin them burgers and french fried taters mmmhmm.

No clothing style sense but still a cute kid. Geez, I had to do a double-take because here he looks like my significant other's boyhood pics (by facial features alone) though he and Chris look nothing alike now, of course!

I don't understand how modern Christine thinks 'potato with stick arms and legs' is so fabulously feminine in any shape or form. His young photos suggest he really had potential to be a nice looking man, like this one and the well-known one of him standing too-close to Megan.

The Hulkster is right. Anyone who has bad enough cholesterol to be put on medication for it in their 20s is headed down a pretty bad path. Chris was taking blood pressure meds--he stated he was during some texts to Catherine--and I think he has talked about his blood pressure before in the occasional Facebook post to garner sympathy. Also to be on medicines like Lipitor(cholesterol) and Paxil(anti-anxiety/anti-depressant) his doctor is going to order regular blood tests--a lot of meds can affect your liver function. Hopefully if he has any bad side effects from that female hormone he's slathering on it will be picked up during one of his checkups. Taking estrogen can increase the risk of blood clots and that's bad with his already sedentary lifestyle.

I don't think Chris has ever had a decent diet. The closest he's come to a balanced diet was probably when he was in school. He never really talks about drinking anything besides a giant cup of sweet tea from McDonald's or soda. He even thought Country Time lemonade in the cans was a healthy alternative to soft drinks and it's loaded with sugar. That was revealed in his talks with Kacey if I remember correctly. Bob cooked some when he was still alive, but Barb got pissed about nobody eating her spaghetti once and stopped cooking. I'm sure their diet is mostly fast food, maybe occasionally a meal at a buffet or restaurant, and microwave dinners like Hungry Man supplementing it.

With that sort of diet the Chandlers are likely to have constant stomach issues--constipation to begin with then the opposite problem. Barb especially since she was diagnosed with colitis. Another poster mentioned Chris' problem with his bowel control and that I'm sure is made worse by not having enough fiber in his diet.

You can get away with eating junk food while you're younger, but it usually starts to catch up to you in your 30s. I know a lot of kiwis talk about Chris' male pattern baldness and it's true that hereditary factors and oestrogel are causing it to become worse, but a consistently bad diet can cause hair loss as well.

Chris was a chubby kid but most kids can be chunky and then once puberty kicks in and they grow a few inches it all evens out and they aren't chunky anymore. Looking at the child pictures of Chris I wouldn't say he was destined to be a fatass. Even his high school year book photo (the Class of 2000 photo) he doesn't look too bad.
I wouldn't say Chris was ever going to be the trimmest or thin guy, but he certainty could of avoided fatass-ery if he realized he was predisposed to be fat and managed himself.

I'm not familiar with the hormones used in transitioning therapy, but I've done some reading on the use of performance enhancing drugs in sports. My understanding is that basically men and women both have a balance of testosterone and estrogen, and the body is able to detect and regulate the hormonal balance. So for example, if a guy starts taking steroids to elevate his testosterone, his body will detect the increase and produce more estrogen to compensate for that. So some guys will take anti-estrogen drugs to prevent some of the side effects (breast tissue etc). Or if they stop a steroid cycle, some use an anti-estrogen to get the body to resume testosterone production (body stops producing when taking steroids).

So, I say all that to say this: I've seen people on here mention that oestrogel is a fairly mild hormone supplement, of unknown quality depending on where he's getting it, and that may not offer him any of the benefits he's hoping for. However if it is actually giving him female hormones, his body is likely producing more testosterone to offset the change, so that could very possibly cause the increase in the hair loss, or throw his hormone balance out of wack if he's inconsistent with his use of it. Not that Chris is known for being haphazard with anything.

Chris is a weird cat. He won't drink or use "tobacky" because they are bad for you, but his diet is absolute shit all the time. How does he expect to live to be 80-100 with his horrid dietary choices?

High intra-abdominal fat is associated with metabolic syndrome.
Do they even have a working fridge?
How else would he keep his "specimen" samples frozen?

Most likely. People at Game Stop and Best Buy definitely know who he is and his backstory. Apparently new people at Game Stop were always warned of him. I'm sure at least one McD's worker is familiar with internet culture and spread it around to the other coworkers(because that's what I did at my previous job, haha). I wouldn't say he's famous in the area, but he's still pretty well known.

Today, Metabolic Syndrome; Tommorow, badly managed insulin dependence. I do not want to see Chris begging on youtube because he is claiming he needs money for insulin when he clearly has a fridge full.

Basically, men create a lot of DHT, but only some people are vulnerable to hair loss through genetics increasing the sensitivity to DHT. The normal male hairline thins somewhat during and after puberty, but nothing like MPB, like Chris' case. Chris is also robbing his body of essential nutrients making it even more likely that his hair will fall out at an accelerated rate and not come back due to DHT. Chris is taking medication that affects his liver, and from the recent binaural beats video it is not even helping anymore to control his hypertension. All Oestrogel did was increase his chance of prostate cancer and other terrible bodily mishaps and the herbs are likely eating at the hepatocytes in his liver.

In fact, I would not be surprised if the herbs are actually exacerbating his tendency to drop big runny bombs that do not smell like cheap Britney Spears perfume.

A lot of people brought up genes but c'mon guys. Chris pretty much got all Gilligans in the genetic lottery, it'd be easier to discuss what parts of his body work as intended

To be fair, a lot of people with autism have garbage diets because they can only tolerate bland-ish food without any overpowering tastes or textures. That combined with the difficulty changing their habits often results in autistic people subsisting on things like mac&cheese, plain pizza, tater tots, or any other familiar salt/sugar loaded fast food slop.

Like most people who give in to their picky shithead little kids, it's largely on Bob and Barb, but it's too late for that to matter. Their diets (as far as we know) were crap also and they probably didn't know dick about nutrition. Even if a nutritionist tries to help him, Chris will delude himself into believing he can cure any ailments by watching videos or buying snake oil nonsense to avoid following a doctor's advice to diet and exercise. That is depressingly common though even among non-autists or there wouldn't be a multi billion dollar market for bogus weight loss aids.
