At the risk of sounding like I am defending him, which I am not, the issue becomes: 1. If he is so retarded he does not understand remorse then 2. he is probably too retarded to even be tried for something like this. And to be totally honest, there absolutely 100% is a pattern of people convincing Chris to do stupid outlandish shit going back decades that could easily be brought up, especially if the Bella stuff goes to court. If he decided not to plead guilty and his lawyer is worth any shit at all, he would try his best to get some of the big ticket sagas into the trial in front a jury. You can say what you want about Chris, but a lot of people on the jury are going to hear about a retarded guy who basically got convinced to throw dick pics and sex vids online, drive across state lines for a fake girlfriend, believe in a fantasy universe, and devolve into whatever weird trans thing he is doing now.

How much responsibility is on Chris? A lot of it, but trial is not about facts it's about sympathy. You'll see it become Barb (not a paragon of good to begin with) vs. Chris and it'll become who you have more sympathy for. I honestly do not know how the phone call recording would even play out since it's chopped up and I really fucking doubt Bella or her parents want to testify that it's real, because just imagine how that would go. This thing is only gonna get wilder and wilder if he doesn't plead guilty.

I think he deserves what he gets and is way more intelligent than people give him credit for. Unfortunately, his online presence and doctors back up his autism, fake or not, and it certainly doesn't help a prosecutor that there is such a huge array of ammunition for a defense to use in the form of "literally look at what has happened to this poor autist for years and years."

Chris probably has a better chance of walking if it's a jury trial, which it almost certainly will be. It honestly really depends where they hold the trial. If they hold it in Henrico county, where he was arrested, and which is full of liberals, they'll likely end up feeling bad for him, and acquitting him. Even if they find him guilty, the judge will probably end up sending him to some kind of retard autist halfway house. I seriously doubt he spends a day in prison, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I think Chris legitimately believes Barb "wanted" it. Most rape takes place between people who know each other, especially family members. One of the reasons talking about rape in court is so traumatizing to people is because they basically get asked "why didn't you scream? I'm not a christorian, but, I think it's less "doesn't feel remorse" and more isn't mentally grown enough to feel remorse. I think the guy should be locked up, but jail isn't the kind of place for him. He needs a asylum or something where he is monitored and taken care of, like he should've been for the last 10-15 years.

Huge difference between what you think I said and what I said. Say he is deemed competent enough to stand trial, and found guilty, he will probably be sent to a minimum security care facility where he will serve his sentence, then sent to a sort of halfway house. It's not that he is some sort of sociopath that is incapable of it, he's just never progressed to it. Like with talking to bella after the leaks happened. He can't learn. His brain is limited capacity and he hit it a long time ago.
