would not suprise me one bit if he thinks jail is just a free hotel, and he is going to be able to get his shit. I give him a week or so before reality really sets in.

I don't think it will ever sink in, but if it did, I am sure he would try calling everyone he could trying to apologize for everything and asking for help. He will be lucky if anyone stays on the phone after hearing his voice or being told the call is from him.

I don't think he will ever understand why what he did to Barbara is wrong. At best, he will be confused why the authorities are punishing him for true love and then conjure up some insane theory about the trolls and maybe the dimension merge to explain it away.

Chris was always going to be a ward of the State. I think most people are happy that he'll have actual locks on the doors to keep him in. And hey, he can devote all of his thoughts in jail/prison to his fantasy worlds, which is probably best for him too.

I don't normally think of it, but this might be one of the first people I look into the details of being a prison penpal for. Don't most prisoners need some small cash donations for basic amenities? I might be willing to pay for toothpaste and soap in exchange for some prison doodles to upload.
