I'm so happy. Not just because the ending is so divisive. Not because I don't mind it and think it's cute, but because Jujutsu and Chainsaw fans will be debating which ending was worse for eternity.

Thank you ending devil for forever cursing the Japanese.

How the hell do you beat offing your endgame villain off screen?

Reset endings are one thing. What JJK did was another.

I know absolutely nothing about jjk except for the fanbase being 99% niggers who watch for the pretty animation so I'm glad they also have a shit ending.

I didn't know how much I missed Power until I saw this panel

I cool that Fujimoto was able to bring her personality back perfectly after years since he last wrote her.

I've been calling Undead Unluck "Chainsaw Man without the nihilism" since I picked it up, and this is another point in UDUL's favor. Everyone freaked out about it being cancelled when the final battle started abruptly, then we got a 20 chapter fight with the entire cast involved, a conclusive ending, and bonus chapters to tie off the loose ends.

As much as I like Fire Punch and Part 1, I think I'll have to take a raincheck on any other series Fujimoto does. I just feel drained from his longform work after this.
I'll still check out his one-shots though. We still have Season 2 to look forward to, and the flame wars.

I’m breaking my three month exile to say one thing and one thing only:

TATSUKI FUJIMOTO IS A FUCKING FRAUD.

FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU

IM LITERALLY COPING RIGHT NOW THAT THIS HAS TO BE A TROLL

FUCK YOU TATSUKI FUJIMOTO

He'll score, trust the plan.
I’VE WAITED SIX YEARS TO WATCH THIS NIGGA SCORE AND ONLY FOR HIM TO GET RAPED BY A GRADE 7 FRAUD DEVIL

Returning to my exile until may, later cunts

I think the only thing that was holding part 2 together was Asa/Yoru. Not even Denji felt like he was the main character the whole time or even a dynamic character. Part 1 had a very clear end goal whereas part 2 seemed to have one but halfway it kept getting muddled until there was just 10 chapters of pointless fighting between Yoru and Chainsaw Man. The ending could have been a lot worse but I'm satisfied with it, plus it does look like Denji is a little bit more responsible now since he needs to depend on Power to fight. I'm just glad that Powerbros got the last laugh in the end.

I wonder if Mappa will bother animating Part 2 at all.
If they're smart they'll finish part 1 and call it good. I could only justify them adapting part 2 as a chance to rewrite the ending and tie up loose ends but it's rare for an adaptation to change the story to make it better.

My honest reaction:

I mean I'm glad Denji didn't die of AIDs or whatever, but it all just felt so abrupt that none of it hits emotionally like it should. It's a real 「しょがない」sort of ending to me.

Also, Jojo Part 8 still manages to be even worse. Nonsensical, pointless, and drawn-out.

Part 2 built up to nothing. Fuck part 2. This is my long held belief. This story should have ended with the first part.

It's a happy ending in the worst way possible. Fujimoto is a hack, but he must have wanted to change it up and be done with the story since fans endlessly bitched and speculated about Power coming back.
And Nayuta. So now he did a cheat code people are gonna praise this absolute narrative trash fire.

Fuck Part 2. It diminished the quality of Chainsawman severely. It should not exist. And this ending is meaningless. Fuck everything Denji built up to, fuck the reader, and fuck us all for wasting our time. I pray the Anime only crowd only get to Part 1. Because part 2 is liquid dogshit and too inconsistent to adapt. If part 2 ever got an OVA it needs to be one where the studio diverge and change up the storyline like they used to in the 90s and 2000s.

Part 2 has nuggets of gold, and no payoff now. It builds up to nothing. No horsemen of the apocalypse, major characters unaddressed, and Denji dies to a random faggot devil in the middle of a long winded battle. And now it means NOTHING because the universe reset. It's obviously another rushed botch job Shounen Jump ending.

Give me back Kishibe.

Holy shit! Keeing the trend strong with shit endings like AoT, Boku no Hero, Oshi no Ko and Jujutsu Kaisen!

It was nice to see power again and a short series of this new Denji Power dynamic would be fun (the obligatory final volume extra chapter could just be this and some more fanservice cameos because why not? At least let me have fun while wasting my time), but it makes the rest of part 2 basically pointless and incredibly unsatisfying ending with Asa (ok, she didn't fuck up her social life... yet, that girl is one trip away from fucking up something else). Part 2 was just random shit being thrown around for the most part and mobody is convincing me there was a "deeper plan" to it.

Also, Reze best girl, Power best sister.

Undead Unluck is a surprising little gem. Started very mediocre, but it stuck to it's guns, improved, did one of the best time skips ever and stuck the landing even if it had to speed through a chunk of the climax. Too bad it's anime didn't move the needle much, so no way in hell the whole thing gets animated.
