I feel that saying this shouldn't be on the Vita is a valid complaint/criticism. I only knew like two people in my life who owned a Vita, and one of them was a person who sold their soul to Sony. People know about the joke "Vita Means Life" which was essentially making fun of one of the things said at a press conference and how hard it got knocked into the ground. Catherine isn't gonna be like Pokemon X and Y where the latter fueled the sales fire for the 3DS.

I'm not an expert but it seems like this would be a relatively easy thing to port and a near no-brainer if they're already working on a new version. There aren't a lot of Vita games (and less of them any good) but Atlus games are the exception. All of the "remix" versions of popular Atlus games wind up on the Sony handhelds (Persona 3-Portable, Persona 4:Golden, Persona 1 remake/update, Persona 2:Innocent Sin and probably others). It's weird the Vita is still around but it would be weird if they didn't move this over.

Additionally, Catherine is a game that's pretty simple looking, controls easily, and can be played in short time bursts as opposed to many PlayStation games so it is a good fit for a handheld.

Well of course they make good ports. But why make it on something that's long been dead?

Also didn't Laura Kate Dale take points away from her Persona 5 review because of it not being on the Vita?

Because they don't think it's dead? Atlus has the two Persona Dancing games and the next Vanillaware game people will screech at coming to it. They're also still making 3DS games and released Persona 5 on PS3. Supporting older hardware isn't out of the norm for them.

Vita 4 Life here, yeah.

The Vita has a terrible library mostly because it's not a strong console [despite playing stuff like Dragon's Crown well, it's not exactly a powerhouse] and most of its games that stay in Japan are 'titty games', anyway.

So what you all are saying is you're not playing Vita games.
You're playing games that happen to be on the Vita.

This game was pretty great. Hopefully it eventually winds up on PC, competitive internet multiplayer would be hilarious.

For anyone who remembers the plot details, isn't Erica written explicitly as a trap/ladyboy? I seem to remember his crossdressing being brought up at least once in his presence and him acknowledging it. It would sort of tie into the themes of manipulative relationships and purposeful deception for selfish reasons that drive the rest of the plot.

Or end in Steam

Never played it but do know about it. But I feel the reason Erica is like this is because she/he needed a job and decided to cross dress because there was more demand for female staff, and this is not an uncommon practice in Japanese men.

OT: It reminds me of an episode of Gintama where the main character Gintoki ends up occasionally working at an okama (gay/tranny) as a hostess to earn some money for his rent . He once lamented "Once again, I've thrown away my pride as a man..."

What is it with troons and not understanding Persona 4?

Naoto isn't trans she dresses as a boy to avoid the massive amounts of sexism in the Japanese police force. Her entire shadow wanting to change her body is an extension of that. She's more ashemed of her childlike side than what she'd got between her legs so the Shadow wants to make her a cool hero like on her TV shows. You know something a child would want.

Kanji isn't gay he even outright states. "It's not about men or women I'm just scared shitless of being alone." And the shadow is an exaguration of the things he wants to hide about himself. IE: He has feminine hobbys that could be seen as being gay so the shadow twists and distorts that.

It's like the hacks haven't even played the games they love jesus.

Trans people are obsessed with everything being trans. You see it all the time. Tomboy? TRANS. Girl who likes dinosaurs? TRANS. Especially among trans trenders. Everything is trans. They really need to shut the fuck up, because 0.3% nearly nothing is going to be trans.

P5 literally had a drag-queen/transwoman who was one of the best characters in the game, did I accidentally buy P5: SJW edition while these guys bought the Kikedeath one?

Because if so I'd like to request a trade.
She even lets you work for her at the bar she iwns, which is needed to complete one of the sidequests

The game’s wiki says said she had the full surgery and everything.

I don't remember this much reeing in 2011. What the hell happened in the past 6 years?

I'll definitely get this out of spite. My only complaint is the new character kind of clashes with the American city aesthetic.

Looks like this new Rin girl may not be a girl. New wave of troon sperging incomming.

I'd be horrified too. I'm not sure what's so offensive about a natural human reaction to a person being confronted with a previously undisclosed dong. Or are trans "feels" more important than disclosing that double dicking is gonna be on the cards despite appearances?

I think that person is reaching to fit their narrative. Forget the trans for a bit, in the original game, Vincent is even horrified when he realized he cheated on Katherine despite Catherine is literary model to his dream girl. I don't think that reaction has anything to do with trans.
